Athena liked him so much—and yet she’d actually slapped him.
Tyler pressed his hand to his cheek, feeling the sting where her palm had landed. All the frustration and humiliation he’d bottled up suddenly welled over, threatening to spill out as hot tears.
Athena watched as he nearly kicked the bedroom door off its hinges. Her expression turned even colder.
“Get out.”
Not only had she hit him, now she wanted him gone.
He lashed out with his foot again, kicking the door harder this time. “I’m not going anywhere! I want to see what you’re hiding in this master bedroom!”
Athena grabbed his arm and pulled him back. “Tyler, are you out of your mind?”
Five red finger marks stood out on Tyler’s cheek. Hearing her words, harsh and final, made him ache with more than just indignation; there was a sharp sadness too.
He hadn’t agreed to break up. She was the one who’d said it was over, but in his mind, they were still together. They were still a couple.
Why shouldn’t he be allowed in his girlfriend’s bedroom? He’d come over so many times, and every single time, this door was locked tight. That only made him more curious.
Then there were the things Bert had said—about how maybe Athena’s feelings for him weren’t real, about how maybe there was someone else. Tyler was terrified it could be true, that all the affection Athena had shown him was meant for another man.
But that couldn’t be. Athena had chased him for so long. She’d followed him into the entertainment industry, made soup for him when he was sick, warmed his bed on cold nights. How could all that be for someone else?
“Athena, move. Let me through!”
Athena’s face grew even more frosty. Ever since the small beauty mark on Tyler’s nose had faded, everything about him seemed to grate on her.
“If you don’t stop, get out. Or I’ll call the police.”
“What?” Tyler was stunned. He couldn’t believe she’d actually threaten to call the cops.
His chest tightened, his face going pale. But Athena didn’t hesitate—she pulled out her phone and, right in front of him, began dialing 911.
Seeing she was serious, Tyler panicked. He kicked the door again, harder than before.
The solid wood finally gave way with a splintering crack.
Ignoring Athena’s glare, he stormed inside.

The readers' comments on the novel: Dear Ex-wife Marry Me novel (Maja)
Author, would you story about Ryan settling down and another story on Eric regaining his body and memories back from Patrick, and Eric also settling down as I find it so disheartening for him to have gone through what he went through at the research institute, and I'll like for him to get his "golden boy" life back though, not at the detriment of Ian....
When will the author update to finish Beck's story? What about Dylan and Tyler's love lives? Also, I'll like the author to write on Wilma and Elvis ending up together as she was quite persistent in pursuing him. And Shawn's story, Cornelia Sullivan and Omar Casson. Also, a little write-up on Jeff (Ian's assistant) love life, too. Thanks, author for updating....
When will get update?...
What is wrong that the author has not updated this novel in over a month or is there somewhere else that I can continue reading the novel from chapter 1951 upwards? Do tell, please. Thanks....
