Delete My Love for You novel Chapter 251

Darren’s brow was furrowed tight as he threw open the door—only to freeze in shock an instant later.

Just ten minutes ago, the kindly old woman and her son had handed him strips of homemade jerky with gentle smiles. Now, both lay motionless in a pool of blood.

Three armed men burst from the shadows, guns raised and aimed right at Darren.

One of them barked, “Where’s the woman from Heston?!”

For the first time in his life, Darren found himself staring down the barrel of a gun. He didn’t hesitate—he twisted to the side and drew his own weapon in one smooth motion, firing back as he moved.

Bang. Bang. Bang.

Three shots rang out. Two of the attackers crumpled instantly, bullets to the head.

The last man dropped his weapon as a bullet tore through his right wrist, the gun clattering to the floor.

Darren gave him no chance to recover. He slammed the man down, pressing his own gun against the attacker’s forehead, his voice as cold as steel. “Who sent you?”

Driven by raw survival instinct, the man stammered, “D-don’t shoot! It was the Griffith family!”

The Griffith family?

Darren’s finger tightened on the trigger. “Why?”

“The Griffiths said we couldn’t leave any woman who looked like the heiress alive… We didn’t find her, so we had to clean up…”

At those words, a jolt of pain tore through Darren’s chest. His gaze swept over the lifeless bodies of the mother and son.

He remembered how, at first, he’d eyed them with suspicion, unable to communicate and wary of their every move…

He never imagined that the pair who had treated him and Charlotte with nothing but kindness would pay for it with their lives.

His eyes went cold. Without another word, he pulled the trigger.

By the time Charlotte received the temperature-controlled container, Darren had already told her about the massacre at the cabin.

She stared at the bag of beef jerky, her throat tight, unable to speak for a long moment.
