Delete My Love for You novel Chapter 69

Behind closed doors, the housekeepers gossiped in hushed tones.

“Why is Mr. Harrington being so kind to Lottie? He even called in a private doctor just for her!”

“Exactly. She’s just a bodyguard, and it’s not like those spots on her face are anything new…”

Charlotte, however, maintained her composure. “Doctor, I’ve seen plenty of specialists. They all say there’s nothing to be done, so you really don’t have to trouble yourself.”

The doctor gave her a gentle smile. “Ms. Lee, the marks on your face are evenly distributed, with clear edges and consistent coloring. I’m afraid this isn’t an internal issue, but something on the surface.”

“Then let’s deal with it externally.”

Darren cut the doctor off as he walked slowly down the stairs. “If I recall correctly, Mr. Wood has that special beauty treatment—ten thousand dollars a bottle. Did you bring it?”

“It’s here, just as you requested, sir.”

“Use it on her. Now.”

There wasn’t a hint of negotiation in Darren’s voice.

Watching from the landing, Xena, holding Noah’s hand, could barely contain her jealousy. Darren’s attitude toward that ugly bodyguard was driving her mad. And now he wanted to use a ten-thousand-dollar face treatment on her?

If those unsightly marks really washed off, revealing the face beneath—what if she turned out to be beautiful?

Xena leaned down, whispering in Noah’s ear. “Noah, do Mommy a favor, will you?”

Noah’s big eyes blinked at her.

He nodded.

A minute later, while the doctor stepped into the next room to prepare the treatment, Noah slipped after him, silent as a shadow.

Soon, a steaming bowl of water infused with the serum was placed before Charlotte.

“Ms. Lee, go ahead and wash your face,” the doctor instructed.

Charlotte’s heart seized with panic.

The spots on her face were the result of a special substance, designed not to wash off with water. But if this treatment contained something stronger, it might strip them away—exposing her true face for all to see.

Suddenly, she caught a faint whiff of chemical solvent in the air. Her eyes narrowed. “There’s something wrong with this serum.”

Darren, lounging on the sofa, issued a cold warning. “Lottie, my time is limited.”

Charlotte’s voice was clear and steady. “Mr. Harrington, let Mr. Smith test it on his own hand first. If it’s safe, I’ll use it immediately.”

Darren reached out, pulling Xena close, dabbing at her tears with his handkerchief. His voice dropped low. “Xena, this isn’t what you think it is.”

Xena collapsed against his chest, sobbing with trembling shoulders. “Mr. Harrington, our wedding is next week. I’m so scared… I’m so afraid of losing you…”

In a flash, the bodyguards and housekeepers all turned to glare daggers at Charlotte, as if she were the villain threatening Mr. and soon-to-be Mrs. Harrington’s happiness.

Noah’s little chest burned with fury.

Suddenly, he lunged for the steaming bowl of serum, summoning all his strength to lift it.

“Bad women who make my mommy sad should be punished!”

“Noah!”

Darren shouted, leaping up from the sofa.

But it was too late—the bowl’s contents splashed straight at Charlotte.

The nearest housekeepers shrieked and jumped out of the way.

Only Charlotte remained perfectly still. She didn’t even close her eyes.
