Escape from Mr. Whitman (Emma and Theodore) novel Chapter 415

The large screen behind the stage lit up, displaying footage from a security camera inside Theodore's office.

Jared stared in disbelief. Since when did Theodore have a camera in his office? So, he had been suspicious all along. So much for brotherhood.

Cecilia was even more horrified. If there was a camera, then her every move had been recorded.

And there she was on screen, tiptoeing around the office, furtively glancing over her shoulder. The camera captured her actions with perfect clarity as she added something to the office water cooler and smeared a substance on the rim of Theodore's mug.

Theodore's voice narrated the footage. "As you can see from the time stamp, I have not entered my office since this footage was recorded, nor has anyone else. The video is unaltered and will be turned over to the police for analysis of the substance Miss Chambers used. I also have one more audio recording to play for you."

The video ended, and a new audio file began to play.

"Hello, I believe this belongs to the gentleman who was here…"

The entire conversation from that night at the restaurant played out for the whole room to hear—Cecilia and Jared plotting how to crack his phone's password, their search through his files, how they guessed his email password, and their reaction to the fabricated evidence.

The room erupted in chaos once again.
