Pansy pulled Sienna into her arms again and stroked her back gently. As if she were comforting a child, Pansy said, “I was scared out of my mind because you were asleep for so long. Even in your dreams, you kept calling out for us… You cried so much, too. My heart felt like it was breaking.”
She continued softly, “It’s all right. That’s all in the past now… From now on, you have me. You have your Dad, Grandpa, and all your brothers with you. No matter what, we’ll always be here by your side.
Sienna snuggled closer into Pansy’s arms. The familiar scent made her feel so safe and at home.
The frantic beating of her heart finally began to slow down and settle.
Everything that happened in her dream was part of her real–life experience.
But now, she was wrapped up in Pansy’s arms. Her biological mother is finally holding her close.
This warmth, this familial love, was something she’d spent years craving and desperately wishing for. She’d never once had it in the Fairbank family.
Now, she truly possessed something she’d ached for. Genuine family and real love.
These people were her family in every sense of the word.
She was finally back home.
With that, everything that happened in the Fairbank family could never hurt her again.
Nothing could affect her anymore.
Because now, she finally had the happiness she’d always dreamed of.
“I’m fine now, Mom,” Sienna said, reaching up to touch the dried tears on her face. “I’m going to wash my face.”
Pansy stroked her hair lightly. “Alright, go wash your face and come down for dinner. You must be hungry after sleeping for so long… I’ll cook something up right now.”
When Sienna finally came downstairs, she saw her whole family waiting for her in the living room.
The moment they heard her footsteps, everyone turned to look at her in unison.
The way they all looked at her, gazes filled with such warmth and concern in their eyes, melted her heart
No one asked her about the nightmare she had, and no one mentioned her red, swollen eyes. In this family, she never had to feel embarrassed or put on the spot ever again.
All they did was look at her with those gentle, caring eyes. Just like that, every bit of gloom weighing down Sienna was gone.
Warmth flooded Sienna’s heart, filling every corner of her heart.

Her lips, bitten red from crying, curled into a true, heartfelt smile. “Grandpa, Dad, Theo, I’m okay now. You guys really don’t need to worry about me.”
Seeing that honest, radiant smile creasing her eyes and lips, the Cooper family could finally breathe.
Pansy hurriedly brought over the steaming hot dishes and set them on the table. “Glad you’re feeling better. Quick, have something to eat.”
Sienna nodded, pulled out a chair, and sat down.
She only took a few bites before her phone rang.
Sienna took a glance at the screen. The caller ID popping up showed Titan.
She stayed calm and kept on eating as she answered, “Speak.”
“Boss,” Titan’s low, chilling voice cut through. “I just got some news. Kagutsuchi and Retorchi have teamed up. Over half their crew moved into Aurathen in just one night.”
‘They’re coming for you, and they’re moving fast,” Titan continued.
Sienna sipped her milk undisturbed. Her voice was cool and flat, betraying no emotion. “Impatient, aren’t they?”
‘Just as you planned, we dropped bait. Black Python has taken it.” Titan’s tone had a hard edge of excitement. “Our latest intel says he won’t be able to hold himself back. He will definitely sneak into Aurathen within a week.”
Sienna curled her lips into a subtle, knowing smile. “Got it.”
She didn’t bother saying anything else and hung up with little to no hesitation.
It looks like Black Python, the big boss of Kagutsuchi, can’t sit still anymore,‘ Sienna thought to herself.
After all, if a foreign faction sends most of its operatives into Aurathen, the local authorities are definitely going to take notice.
When that happens, things could easily turn into a clash between two nations.
Still, it was a bold move. Both factions didn’t flinch and dove straight in,‘ Sienna pondered silently,
It was clear. After losing so many elites in Aurathen, the loss must’ve hit Kagutsuchi hard.
‘Honestly? That works for me,’ Sienna thought.
This was the best chance to wipe them out, catch them all in one sweep, and finally put an end to this.
‘Of course, it’s still a hassle,‘ Sienna mused to herself.
‘This is Aurathen. We’re not out in the Hollow Dreadlands anymore,” she continued, wondering to herself.
‘When the time comes, everything’s gotta be handled cleanly. Tracks had to be covered carefully and loose ends tied up tightly. No evidence can be left behind.”

‘After all, my crew, the Ghost Alliance, worked hard to build our network here. It wasn’t easy getting established in Aurathen, Sienna contemplated to herself.
She reasoned silently, ‘I can’t risk drawing attention from the Aurathen authorities to the Ghost Alliance!
Sienna’s gaze grew heavier as she slipped into deep thought.
“Sienna, something on your mind?” Pansy kept a close eye on her daughter, instantly noticing the heavy vibe that settled around her.
She asked gently, “Is something wrong? Are you in some kind of trouble?”
The three remaining men turned toward her in response. “What? Sienna, what happened? Just tell us. There’s no need to handle it all alone.”
Rolf gave Sienna a steady look, his eyes narrowing with concern. “Sienna, remember that the Cooper family is always behind you, no matter what.”
Surrounded by all those caring gazes from her family, Sienna felt her heart grow even warmer than before.
That’s exactly why, after feeling all their warmth and support, Sienna knew she had to keep her family far away from the trouble brewing in Baletin.
