Grandpa, you noticed it too? Theo’s expression grew serious.

Since Rolf had already picked up on it. Theo saw no reason to keep it from him. “Actually, I’ve been noticing something strange these past couple of days too.
Every time I leave the estate. I can sense someone watching me… but I never got a hostile vibe from them.
“And there have been a lot of unfamiliar faces around me lately.
I had someone look into it quietly, but they couldn’t dig up anything. Honestly, it’s so squeaky clean it actually seems suspicious”
Theo furrowed his brows, his voice dropping. “I think… maybe Sienna moved out because there’s something she wants to keep from us
When Patrick’s assistant said there hadn’t been any new projects lately. Theo instinctively connected it to the weirdness he’d been sensing.
All those odd vibes lately… could they be related?” Theo couldn’t help thinking to himself.
Rolf let out a deep sigh, his eyes showing both understanding and pain. That little Sienna…. she just always takes everything on her own shoulders, never asks for help.
“Her background–I’m afraid it’s a lot more complicated than any of us realize. She probably used that whole institute excuse just to move out, trying to keep us safe and not drag the family into whatever trouble she’s facing
Rolf’s voice shook as he spoke, the words almost catching in his throat.
He sounded tired and utterly helpless. “I’ve been around a long time, already half in the grave, but I can’t even look after my own granddaughter… She’s out there risking her life all alone, just for this old man’s sake…
Suddenly, Rolf gripped Theo’s arm, his gaze hard and solemn. “Theo, listen carefully. I’m getting old… I won’t be able to look after Sienna much longer. You’re her big brother. Whatever comes our way, you–and the Cooper family–have to protect her with everything you’ve got!
“Even if our abilities are limited and we can’t help much, we must never be a burden to Sienna. She should always know that the Cooper family will be her rock, no matter what.”
Theo nodded. ‘Grandpa, you can count on me. Sienna’s my little sister–I’ll lay my life on the line if I have to No one will ever touch her.
Rolf gently patted Theo’s hand, his eyelids drooping as he closed his eyes for a moment, weariness etched
across his face.
There was a shimmering trace of tears in his eyes. “Sienna’s worked so hard to keep us out of it, just so we won’t worry or get caught up in her troubles‘
“So let’s respect her wishes and act like nothing’s happened. We shouldn’t give her more to worry about.”

Theo nodded. “Yeah, I feel the same way.”

“Since she said she’ll be back in a couple days, that means it’s all been handled…” Rolf took a deep, steadying breath. “Her coming home safe is all that matters. When she returns, let’s welcome her with open arms–she’s done enough out there, she shouldn’t have to take care of us too.”
At the suburban villa, after hanging up the family call, Sienna’s soft look instantly hardened to ice.
She swept a cold gaze across the courtyard–there were still a few thugs from Baletin struggling, trying anything they could to slip away.
But Titan, Anne, and Ben had them all pinned down in no time.
As soon as the Ministry of National Defense guys took off, those Baletin assassins lurking nearby finally made. their move.
They jumped on the chance before the villa’s security system had fully locked down, trying to rush in and take revenge for their leader.
Right at that moment, Sienna got a call from home.
‘Did anyone catch anything off about my voice just now?‘ Sienna wondered, a hint of worry flickering in her mind.
“Titan,” Sienna said, slipping her phone back into her pocket.
“Take care of things here. Bring them downstairs, interrogate every last one, and find out exactly how many
came.”
‘More killers are still turning up,‘ Sienna thought grimly.
There must be a few who slipped through the cracks.
“Got it!” Titan replied instantly, moving with practiced ease. With Anne and Ben helping out, they hogtied the thugs like bundles ready for shipping and tossed them into the car.
The villa was peaceful once more.
But a lingering scent of smoke and blood still hung in the air.
Sienna turned her head, her eyes settling on Mason, who was sprawled casually against the wall with that trademark lazy, devil–may–care grin tugging at his lips.
Noticing her gaze, Mason’s grin deepened, his eyes sparkling with a dazzling, almost wicked charm.
Bright light spilled across his sharply defined and coldly handsome face, giving him an uncanny, almost otherworldly allure that was impossible to ignore.
“So, how’d I do? Pretty good teamwork, right?” Mason’s voice was a low, velvety drawl, so magnetic it seemed

He let the last word linger in the air, his tone curling up with a devilish tease. “So, Sienna, what’s your plan for thanking me?”
Sienna stepped right up to him, stopping just a breath away. She lifted her lashes, midnight–dark eyes calm and inscrutable, holding his gaze.
Meeting his lazy, smiling eyes, she asked lightly, “You tell me–how do you want me to thank you?”
She was unexpectedly easygoing about it.
That actually made Mason pause for a moment, surprised.
But then his languid, sparkling eyes came alive, a triumphant smile tugging at his lips as if he’d just won a prize.
He suddenly straightened up, moving in closer to Sienna.
His hand reached out, hesitant and careful, lightly gripping her arm as if testing the waters.
The lazy, mischievous glint disappeared from his face, replaced by a look so pitiful it was almost heartbreaking.
His normally deep, sparkling eyes now looked a little glassy with moisture, gazing up at her with a soft, pleading look.
He was like a big, loyal dog that’d messed up and was scared his owner might toss him out.
He looked just like a sad, wronged puppy–eyes big and pleading, begging for mercy in the cutest way you could imagine.
Then he gave her arm a little shake and murmured, “Sienna… Can you not give me the cold shoulder like you did this morning? When you freeze me out, my heart feels all empty and lost–I can’t even get myself moving, it’s like nothing matters.”
“If I’ve messed up or made you upset, just tell me and I’ll fix it! Seriously, I’ll change anything, you can yell at me, hit me–whatever you want–just please, please don’t ignore me…”
