Just then, Alvin came in clutching his stomach, looking weak and drained.

But the second he heard everyone complaining, he perked right up. He rushed over, shouting, “Hey, cut it out with all that loser talk! Total buzzkill! We’re here to celebrate Sienna’s new life! To celebrate her hitting the jackpot after ditching the Fairbank family!”

He squeezed in next to Sienna and raised his champagne glass high. “To Sienna! To new beginnings!”

Everyone raised their glasses, cheering and celebrating.

Just as Sienna was about to sit down, Alvin started showing off again.

He grinned mysteriously and said, “Guess where Sienna lives now? Aurelia Heights! The best spot in the whole city! The place is so big. I can’t even wrap my head around it. Now, guess who her real parents are!”

Everyone instantly got interested. They crowded around Alvin, throwing out guesses.

They named every big family, even some secret ones, and joked that Sienna was a hidden magic-user straight out of a novel. The room filled with laughter.

Sienna sipped her lemonade, looking at her friends’ happy faces. They all came from powerful families, yet around her, they were relaxed and genuinely glad for her.

They cursed the Fairbank family without holding back, then went right back to happily guessing who her parents were.

A small smile tugged at her lips.

Four years ago, just to fit in with the Fairbanks, chasing what she thought was family love, she had hidden her real self. She gave up everything and lived like a fool.

Luckily, she had woken up-and it wasn’t too late.

After more joking around, the group started talking about the latest news in Orlathis City and some secret tensions. They kept asking Sienna for her take, and she answered each question.

“Oh, right,” said Colin Sharp, heir to the Sharp family, a calm guy with gold-rimmed glasses. “Sienna, my grandfather was asking about you the other day. He wanted to know when you’d have time to come back to the research institute.

“The big government project is stuck at a key stage. Without you leading the team, they can’t move forward.”

Sienna nodded. “Soon. After I handle some family business.”

Alvin clicked his tongue and shot Colin a look of disgust. “Your grandfather is the top professor at Disey University and head of the national research institute. At his age, he should solve his own problems instead of always relying on Sienna.”

Colin adjusted his glasses. “My grandfather is only the director in name. Sienna is the real director.”

Alvin scoffed, “Please, your grandfather has no shame! He begged and begged until Sienna finally agreed to join his

institute!”

Colin said calmly, “Sienna is the director. That’s a fact.”

Alvin still wasn’t buying it. “Hey, you-”

Alvin immediately grinned at her. “Of course. You always see the big picture, Sienna.”

Just as the room was getting lively again, Sienna’s phone rang. It was an unknown number from Orlathis City. She answered.
