Chapter 62
Time passed by, minute by minute.
The Fairbank family members peeked around, but they couldn’t spot anyone from the Cooper family.
Their legs were getting numb from standing, but they didn’t dare to leave.
What if they left, and the Cooper family came out? They couldn’t afford to miss this opportunity.
Hazel, wearing high heels, stood until her legs and feet were sore and weak. Annoyed and agitated, she directly raised her foot and vented her frustration on the wall. “What bad luck!”
Her legs and feet were already sore and weak, and this vent-like action was too big. Before her foot could kick the wall, she lost her balance…
A cry of pain was followed by the loud crash of dishes shattering on the floor.
Luckily, Jessica grabbed Hazel in time, keeping her from falling to the ground herself.
When Hazel jerked her head up, she saw an elderly man in a white chef’s uniform standing in front of her. At his feet lay a shattered soup tureen, its contents spilled all over the floor. Some of the broth had even splashed
onto Hazel’s dress.
“My dress…!” This was a limited-edition piece she had specifically chosen for this high-end visit to Moon Restaurant.
Her heart ached. Seeing that the person she had bumped into was just an ordinary chef, she vented all her pent-up anger on him. “You blind old thing! Do you have any idea how much this dress costs? Can you even afford to pay for it if you ruin it?”
The old chef looked at the mess on the floor, frowning. “Madam, you clearly bumped into me just now and knocked over my soup. I didn’t even ask you to pay for it, yet here you are accusing me first?”
Hazel was busy inspecting the grease stain on her dress, her face full of contempt. “It’s just a bowl of soup. How much could it be worth? You think it compares to my limited-edition dress?”
Jessica also chimed in from the side, “Exactly! Do you know what brand my mom’s wearing? How much does this dress cost? Hurry up and apologize to her and pay up!”
The old chef looked at the mother and daughter in front of him and found them utterly unreasonable, impossible to communicate with.
He shook his head and turned to leave, intending to go back and prepare a new soup.
“You think you can just leave without paying?” Hazel immediately reached out to stop him.
Suddenly, Jessica grabbed Hazel’s arm and stared intently at the huge, luxurious lobby in the VIP area, her pupils dilating and constricting. “Mom, it’s… It’s Sienna!”
At the sound of that name, Hazel frowned and quickly looked over.
In the lobby of the VIP area, Sienna was wearing a chef’s apron and pushing a delicate dining car.
Seeing Sienna dressed as a chef, Jessica looked at her own exquisite dress, covered in gold and silver, and felt a sense of superiority.
She even deliberately turned her designer bag so the logo was facing Sienna, before putting on a pitiful expression. “Sienna must be really desperate to stay in Orlathis City. She’s actually working here at Moon Restaurant, serving food in the VIP area…”
Hazel’s face darkened. “So that wretched girl is the source of our bad luck! Every time we run into her, something goes wrong. I nearly fell just now and almost got soup spilled all over me!”
She quickly pulled Jessica closer. “Jessica, stay away from her! Don’t let her filthy misfortune rub off on you!”
“Wait!” Lauren was staring at the girl in the apron. She was still so striking and beautiful despite the plain uniform.
His eyes lit up slightly. “Are you stupid? Sienna has now made it to the VIP area. Isn’t this a godsend opportunity? If she can walk around freely in there, she might be able to enter the Starview Dining Room too! We can get her to pass a message to the Cooper family for us!”
The rest of the Fairbank family instantly realized it was the perfect opportunity.
Immediately, Hazel didn’t bother to ask the old man next to her to compensate for her clothes, and immediately shouted towards Sienna, “Sienna! Stop!”
Her voice was so loud that it echoed through the quiet, elegant corridor.
Even the security guards at the entrance turned their heads to look.
“Sienna, Sienna in the chef’s uniform, you come here to me immediately!” When Lauren saw that Sienna raised her eyes and looked towards him, he immediately couldn’t help but raise his chin and shout at Sienna in a commanding tone.
He thought, as long as Sienna behaved herself and helped them fix things with the Cooper family, he might even plead with the rest of the family to take her back in.
As long as Sienna understood her situation and didn’t compete with Jessica, the Fairbank family could still support her.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please be quiet!” Seeing that they were still yelling and posturing as if they were about to rush into the VIP area, several security guards quickly stepped forward to stop them.
Hazel pushed away the security guard’s hand. “We know that chef! Get her over here now!”
The commotion here was huge.
Sienna slightly lifted her eyelids and looked indifferently at the three people over there who looked like
clowns.
When she had first arrived at Moon Restaurant, the Cooper family hadn’t gotten there yet. Harrison had been in the kitchen at the time, and upon hearing that Sienna was here, had happily pulled her in to cook with him.
Sienna thought that she had been eating meals cooked by her parents in the Cooper family these days. She should return the favor.
So she went to the kitchen and personally cooked some of her specialties, and also made a nourishing stew for Rolf.
Just then, Sienna heard that her grandfather and the others had arrived.
Sienna planned to send over some of the dishes she had prepared first.
