Chapter 77
Looking at the guilt written all over Windsor’s face, Sienna couldn’t help but let out a short laugh.
That laugh was cold and mocking, carrying undisguised disgust.
“Dr. Fairbank, do you even realize what you look like right now…? You’re so disgusting, you make me want to throw up.”
Windsor’s pupils shook violently, as if struck by lightning, and his face was pale.
This sentence… He knew it far too well. Because those were his own words once.
It was he who, with that condescending attitude, said to Sienna, “You’re so disgusting when you grovel like that. You make me want to throw up.”
That was how he used to treat Sienna. And now, those same words had come back at him, cutting deep.
“Sienna… I know that the way I treated you back then hurt you, but you should have told me earlier. If I had known about your ability, I would have protected you,” Windsor said, fists clenched, his gaze carrying a hint of pleading.
Sienna really did laugh this time.
For four long years, she had done everything she could for the Fairbank family.
She broke every last bit of her pride and dignity, nearly groveling, just to beg for the so-called family affection.
They dismissed her. They despised her as if they had been born to do so.
And now, when she no longer cared about the Fairbank family, no longer needed any of their affection, they had the gall to come crawling back. Pathetic.
She said, “Even now, you’re still making excuses to cover up the fact that you’ve failed as a brother.”
Sienna let out a low, mocking laugh. “Windsor, seeing your face right now makes me feel like the past four years I spent in the Fairbank family were the biggest joke in the world.”
She continued, “I was foolish enough to long for your so-called family bond, foolish enough to give my heart and soul for you all, to give you everything I had, and all I got in return was your disgust and insults.”
She added, “And now you have the audacity to question why I didn’t try harder to prove myself to you, over and over again? Why should I prove myself to people who have looked down on me from the very beginning?”
Her eyes grew even colder, her gaze filled with boredom and contempt. “You Fairbanks… selfishness is carved into your very bones. You only ever care about your own feelings, your own interests. You don’t even know what a real family is. You don’t deserve to.”

“I have already severed all ties with the Fairbank family. Dr. Fairbank, please stop bothering me in the future.” With that, Sienna didn’t spare him another glance. She turned away, disgust written in every line of her face, and started walking toward the area where Sophie was having her check-up.
“Wait!” Windsor had gone to great lengths to find Sienna. He couldn’t let her walk away so easily.
His face was pale, but his eyes were scarlet.
He couldn’t accept that Sienna’s medical skills were above his. He couldn’t accept that Sienna dared to talk to him like this.
Every word Sienna spoke was like a needle stabbing into his chest, making him feel like he was being torn
apart.
Windsor reached out again, trying to grab Sienna’s arm. “What do you mean, severing ties? I never agreed to that! As long as I don’t agree, you’ll always be my sister! I won’t let you walk away!”
Sienna frowned deeply, her eyes filled with ice.
She was about to raise her hand to grab Windsor’s arm and trample him under her feet.
“Dr. Fairbank, what are you doing?” A clear, firm voice rang out.
A handsome young man in a white coat strode towards them. The wind lifted the man’s white coat.
He reached them in a few long strides, blocking Windsor’s hand and pulling Sienna behind him protectively. His expression was stern as he stared Windsor down. “This is a hospital, Dr. Fairbank. Look at yourself. Do you have any idea how you look right now?”
After seeing the man’s face clearly, the expression on Windsor’s face softened slightly. “Dr. Zack Hurlbutt…”
The person in front of her was Zack Hurlbutt, the son of Gavin Hurlbutt, the dean of Orlathis Hospital. He came from a family of doctors and was a well-known genius doctor.
“That’s enough, you don’t need to say another word,” Zack cut him off and gestured toward the two security guards who had just arrived. “Dr. Fairbank seems to be in an unstable mental state. Take him back. And inform HR to put him on leave. He can return once he’s properly rested and mentally fit to work again.”
His words were perfectly measured, leaving no room for argument.
Anyone who saw him would praise his handling of the situation – calm, rational, and perfectly in line with hospital procedure.
He had all the authority of the hospital director’s son.
Even though Windsor was one of the youngest and most brilliant attending physicians at the hospital, the security guards obediently moved forward and grabbed him by the arms.
“Let go of me! Dr. Hurlbutt, I just need to talk to my sister! On what grounds…” Windsor’s face darkened, his body struggling violently. He even threw a pleading look at Sienna.
Chapter 77
As long as Sienna spoke up, not even Zack could throw him out. But Sienna didn’t even glance at him.
