Fake Heiress Real Trouble (Sienna) novel Chapter 78

Chapter 78

Mason’s already oppressive aura instantly dropped another few degrees.

Miles shivered from the sudden chill, but that mouth of his was still as reckless as ever, continuing to tease, “Just look at the way Dr. Hurlbutt is staring at Miss Cooper… pure worship, huh?”

Mason lifted his lashes slightly and shot Miles a sidelong glance. The coldness in his eyes was practically overflowing.

Miles immediately made a “zipping my lips” gesture and fell silent, ready to watch the drama unfold.

Mason’s long, straight legs carried him forward, heading straight toward them.

Tall and upright, he stood like a statue, bringing with him an intense, suffocating pressure as he forced his way between the two.

He didn’t say a word. He just stood there.

Zack, who had been chattering away, instantly felt a chill crawl down his spine. He couldn’t help but shiver.

Looking up, he met Mason’s icy, oppressive gaze.

A jolt of fear shot through him, and he instinctively shrank his neck. “Mr. Brown…”

Mason only gave Zack a cool, indifferent glance before turning to Sienna. “Sophie’s almost done with her check-up. She’s been calling for you the whole time, afraid you’d run away.”

His voice was calm and lazy, but there was ice hidden in every syllable.

Zack swallowed hard, glancing nervously between Sienna and Mason. Cold sweat was running freely down his

back.

“I just remembered I have an emergency critical care meeting to attend. Sienna, Mason, I’ll be off now!” He spoke so fast it was almost a blur, and before Sienna could even reply, he had already bolted down the hallway.

Even though Mason hadn’t even looked at him, that aura was just too terrifying!

Zack knew what was good for him and slipped away quickly!

Zack fled in disarray.

Sienna raised her eyebrows and lifted her eyes to look at Mason.

Mason’s eyes gave his wickedly handsome face a layer of frost, like snow over ice.

She asked, “Why did you scare him?”

As soon as Zack disappeared, Mason’s entire aura shifted. The coldness in his brows and eyes faded, replaced

by a smile.

“Because I was jealous,” he said openly, without the slightest attempt to hide it.

That smile of his was wicked, decadent, dangerous, and seductive. It carried a kind of aggressive allure that made the lights seem to flicker.

Sienna’s heart gave the tiniest, imperceptible skip.

She quickly averted her gaze, avoiding those burning eyes of his. “What’s there to be jealous about?” she muttered, before striding toward the examination room.

Her steps, however, were noticeably quicker than usual.

Mason’s captivating eyes, with their alluring upturn at the corners, gazed deeply at Sienna’s back as his sensual lips curved into a faint smile.

That laughter was languid and sensual.

Immediately, he lifted his foot and slowly followed.

Sophie’s results came back good, and she was cleared to be discharged that very afternoon.

Overjoyed, Sophie threw herself into Sienna’s arms, rubbing her little head against her chest. “Thank goodness Sienna came to see me! Otherwise I would’ve been stuck in the hospital for sooo much longer!”

The fluffy, fragrant, and soft touch made Sienna smile as well, and she raised her hand to rub Sophie’s head. “Congratulations on getting discharged.”

Mason stood to the side, holding the discharge papers, his eyes turning a little cold as they fell on the two girls hugging.

Finally, his gaze landed on Sienna’s hand still resting on Sophie’s head.

That gaze was too intense. It was hard for Sienna to pretend she didn’t see it.

She lifted her cool, clear eyes toward him. “You’re not seriously jealous of your own sister, are you?”

This man really did get jealous of anything and everything.

Taking Sophie’s wrist, Sienna tilted her head. “Come on. I’ll take you somewhere.”

Sophie’s eyes lit up like stars, and she nodded excitedly.

Sienna lifted her eyes again and glanced at Mason. “If you have something to do, go do it. I’ll safely take your sister home tonight.”

Mason, who was about to say that he could go with them, was left speechless.

Faced with that cold, expressionless face of hers, the words stuck in his throat.

In the end, he just gave a soft “Okay.”

But as he turned his head away, his wickedly handsome face went ice-cold again, radiating “stay away from me” energy.

His expression was thunderous.

Miles almost couldn’t hold back his laughter.

He never thought he’d live to see the day when Mason actually got snubbed.

First Zack, now even his own little sister!

And the best part? Sienna clearly cared more about Sophie than about him!

Miles laughed inwardly, ‘Just as the saying goes, ‘One thing conquers another! Even the great Mason could only sulk in silence in front of Miss Cooper! That’s so funny!’

Then, a dagger-like glare shot his way.

The air around him instantly turned frigid.

Unwilling to vent his anger on the little girl, Mason gave Miles a sinister look.

Miles immediately straightened up like a soldier, chest out, lips sealed tight.

Mason shoved one hand into his pocket and strode off.

Miles immediately followed, looking at Mason’s perfect and flawless profile, which was now tense, with his charming eyes exuding a biting chill.

He swallowed hard, and out of the corner of his eye, he caught Sienna pulling Sophie into a flashy, fluorescent blue supercar in front of the hospital!

His eyes widened instantly.

In all of Orlathis City, there was only one person who drove such a ridiculously flashy car. And the owner was

a man.

If Mason was already this jealous now…
