There were only voices of doubt and ridicule all around. No one believed that Sienna, a girl who looked barely of age, could challenge a group of professional racers.

‘Does she think that just knowing how to ride a motorcycle is enough to show off in a place like this?’ the crowd thought.

“Sienna, I’ve never heard that you could race,” Ernest said, his eyes narrowing, carrying a hint of scrutiny.

His gaze darkened as he fixed it on Sienna. “If you know how to race, why did you never mention getting on the track?

“You should know I’m crazy about racing. If you’d shown off your skills in front of me back then, perhaps you wouldn’t have had to leave the Fairbank family,” he added.

Sienna couldn’t help laughing when she heard this. ‘Why are all these guys so ridiculous? That scumbag of the Fairbank family said that if I’d shown my medical skills earlier, I wouldn’t have suffered so much there.

“And now Ernest is saying that if I’d shown my racing skills earlier, he’d have protected me better-given me the right to stay in the Fairbank family?

‘But does Jessica know about medicine? Does she have racing skills?’ Sienna thought.

“Ernest, do you want to know why?” Sienna asked, smiling dazzlingly, yet her eyes brimmed with ridicule. “Because I think you guys are trash – so pathetic.

“A bunch of nobodies playing in second-rate races – is it worth my time? I’m afraid that if I actually race, I’d hurt your ridiculous pride and make you guys feel inferior.”

Her words, full of sarcasm, made Ernest’s expression grow darker. The glance he cast at Sienna slowly churned with a shadowy gloom, like ink spreading in water. He clenched his fists tightly and exclaimed, “Sienna!”

‘You actually… mocked my racing skills? You were with me for four years how could you not know that I’d already obtained my professional racing license, that I’m a certified racer?

‘I’m famous in the racing circle. Even in my own club, many racers failed to defeat me. And yet you called me weak? Trash?’ Ernest fumed and thought in disbelief.

Ernest let out a furious laugh, his eyes gloomy and cold when he said, “Fine! Sienna, since you’re so confident, I’ll grant your wish!”

“Get everyone in the club here. Let’s race together!” he instructed his people.

“Sienna, I hope that in 20 minutes, you’ll show me just how impressive your so-called racing skills are,” he

said.

Sienna raised her eyelids lazily, her clear, cool eyes devoid of emotion. She cast him a calm glance, then slipped one hand into her pocket and the other to hold Sophie’s hand, and walked away.

She didn’t even bother to spare another glance at Ernest. The way she carried herself was unapologetically arrogant and indifferent.

Ernest’s expression was gloomy with fury as he coldly fixed his gaze on Sienna’s departing figure. “Keep an eye on them don’t let them get away!” he told his people.

Sienna, taking Sophie by hand, wheeled Ghost straight into the garage for its pre-race inspection. As they left the garage, Sophie tugged at Sienna’s arm and said, “Sienna, that rookie king is so weird.”

“Hmm?” Sienna glanced at her and responded.

Sophie shivered, recalling Crow’s eye expression, and said, “I felt… The way he stared at you was just so weird.

“When he stared at you, it was like he locked onto his prey-as if he was looking at a dead person.”

What Sophie didn’t say out loud was that kind of look was nothing like the gaze between competitors about to step onto the same racetrack. It was more like he was eyeing her as prey – just waiting for the moment to pounce and take her down.

The more Sophie thought about it, the more on edge she felt. “Sienna, you might be Skye and all, but that Crow guy gives off real bad vibes. What if he tries to mess with you during the race? No, this is way too dangerous!” she said.

Although the thought of losing Ghost was totally unbearable, she desperately wanted to see her idol-the legendary Skye-make that epic comeback on the track in person, looking as fierce as ever.

But she couldn’t bear to see Sienna face any chance of getting hurt, especially when that chance came with such a high level of danger.

Sophie tightened her grip on Sienna’s hand and said, “Sienna, I’ll call Mason right now. With his connections, I bet he can find someone to take down Crow before the Light the Lamp Challenge starts!”

As she said that, she took out her phone, her hands trembling with urgency as she started dialing Mason’s number.

Sienna reached out to steady Sophie’s nervous hands, then gently tilted her chin up so the flustered girl had no choice but to meet her gaze. “Do you trust me?” Sienna asked.

Sophie was caught in a daze, just staring blankly at Sienna’s delicate face so close to hers. She blinked and nodded emphatically, saying, “Yes.”

“Then don’t worry and do nothing,” Sienna said, ruffling Sophie’s head with a confident smirk. “Just watch; I’ll

win.”

Sophie’s eyes widened as she stared at Sienna. After a moment, she nodded again, even more determined this time. “Yeah, I trust you, Sienna!” she replied.

Sienna’s eyes lifted with a glint, barely noticeable as she glanced at a dark corner nearby. A trace of amusement revealed at the edge of her gaze.

Over in the shadows, Miles quickly jerked his head back, his handsome face frozen in shock. “Mason, did

she… Did she notice me just now?” he stammered.

That glance that Sienna shot over, for a split second, was like she’d locked eyes with him, right through the air. Miles nearly jumped out of his skin, stumbling so hard that he almost fell over.

He and Mason were hiding in a spot so tucked away. No ordinary people would be able to notice them. However, when Sienna glanced over, it was obvious that she had caught sight of them.

“Yeah,” Mason responded, his narrow eyes glinting with a confident smile-and more of a little pride. Miles was speechless.

‘What’s Mason so proud of?’ Miles thought, baffled.

‘We’re basically stalking them like complete creeps, and now we’ve been busted. People would think we’re perverts or something!’ Miles freaked out. ‘There goes my spotless reputation!’

“Well…looks like we’ve been busted, so why bother hiding anymore?” Miles said. “Seriously, are we going to let Miss Cooper jump into the lion’s den? I checked on Crow just now. He’s infamous for being vicious. Anyone who raced him professionally got wheeled off the track in a stretcher, no kidding.”

As he said that, he couldn’t help but hiss in frustration. “The worst part is, the surveillance footage doesn’t capture any of Crow’s violations at all!

“Mason, you’re the only one who can put Crow in his place! Just take Sophie’s spot, win the whole thing, and I promise-Miss Cooper will totally go nuts for you!”

“No need,” Mason said, flashing a careless smirk as he spoke in his deep, lazy voice-like he wasn’t worried in the least. “Trust me, she can handle it.”

Miles’s eyes widened. “After hearing all those horror stories about Crow, you’re actually going to throw Miss Cooper-an absolute stunner, by the way-straight into the race against that lunatic? What if…”

“No ‘what ifs,”” Mason said, his voice determined. “She won’t lose.”
