Forsaken Until My Last Breath novel Chapter 24

Chapter 24

Kyle was carousing with his good-for-nothing friends at the club when a group of burly bodyguards stormed into the private room. Without a word, they pinned him to the floor and bound him.

Never treated like this before, he immediately started shouting obscenities. “Who the hell are you! How dare you touch me! My brother-in-law is Victor Walker, head of the Walker family-”

One bodyguard scoffed, his voice dripping with disdain. “Mr. White, Mr. Walker himself sent us to fetch you.”

Kyle’s eyes widened in fury.

“You’re full of shit! My sister is Mrs. Walker-Victor would never do this!”

“Let me go now if you know what’s good for you! Or my brother-in-law will make you regret it!”

The bodyguard shot him a look reserved for idiots, annoyed by the noise. With an impatient click of his tongue, waved a hand behind him. An underling promptly stuffed a towel into Kyle’s mouth, silencing the room.

Dragged to Spring Harmony Villa, Kyle thrashed wildly in the car until he saw Victor’s face dark with fury. Instantly subdued, he shrank into himself, emitting only low whimpers.

Victor flung a thick stack of documents at Kyle, his voice thunderous. “Care to explain this?!”

Kyle glanced at the scattered papers, his face tightening. His eyes darted nervously.

The bodyguard, quick to take the hint, pulled the towel out of Kyle’s mouth.

As soon as Kyle realized he could speak, he immediately shouted. “Vincent, you’ve got it all wrong! Besides, I did it for my sister. I didn’t go too far. I’m just stating the facts…”

Vincent, seeing his unrepentant look, had a cold glint in his eyes.

Kyle, who’d been making excuses, saw Vincent’s expression and his voice trailed off. He shrank into the corner, not daring to make another sound.

When the head of the Walker family got ruthless, he could do anything. If you really crossed him, there’d be no good

outcome.

Right now, Vincent found Kyle utterly detestable. He ordered the bodyguard, “Take him to Brocade Central Villa and keep him under watch. Every day, escort him to the Cemetery and make him kowtow to Patrick and Angela for three

hours to atone.”

Hearing this, Kyle felt dizzy. He was actually being forced to kowtow to those unlucky souls? It was a huge disgrace.

He couldn’t understand it. When the viral video spread online, Vincent seemed to have let it slide.

Chapter 24

After Patrick died, Vincent didn’t show much remorse. Why was he suddenly bringing up the past now?

Kyle suddenly yelled, “My sister won’t agree! Patrick almost caused her to miscarry. Making me do this will break her heart.”

Vincent’s face darkened as he approached him step by step, crouched down, and suddenly grabbed his neck, saying, “You probably haven’t seen the latest video yet. Susan can’t even protect herself now.”

“Don’t worry, when we go kneel at the cemetery, your sister won’t be left out. She’ll be right there with you.”

Five minutes earlier, the hacker Vincent hired had analyzed the school’s surveillance footage and discovered techni- cians had altered it.

After restoring the video, the truth emerged: Susan deliberately provoked Patrick.

Vincent’s last shred of feeling for Susan vanished completely, leaving only utter disgust.

Susan, Kyle-he wouldn’t spare either of them.

Seeing the terror on Kyle’s face, Vincent released his grip, took the disinfectant towel his secretary handed him, and wiped his hands.

Vincent waved at the bodyguards.

As they escorted the man to the entrance, he suddenly spoke, enunciating every word. “You’d better cooperate. Do well, and I’ll send you to prison later. Make me unhappy, and I won’t hesitate to lock you up immediately.”

Thrown by the bodyguards at Brocade Central Villa’s entrance, Kyle immediately pushed open the villa door to com- plain to Susan.

The door swung open to reveal chaos everywhere, Susan sitting disheveled on the floor.

Kyle hesitated before taking a few steps closer. “Sis, what happened?”

Susan suddenly looked up, her face twisted with fury. “Vincent, the school surveillance footage was restored and posted online. While you were fooling around, Mom and Dad were taken by the police. Our family business has been exposed.”

Kyle rushed over in panic, stammering urgently. “Sis, then Vincent won’t find out I deliberately caused our cousin’s death, right? What about that watch?”

He showed zero concern about their parents’ arrest, focusing solely on covering his own misdeeds.
