Chapter 28
The secretary knocked on the chairman’s office door. A cold voice came from, behind the door.
“Come in!”
The secretary pushed the door open, cautiously glancing at Vincent’s expression before speaking. “Vincent, England’s southern godfather Randy wants to meet you at the western restaurant downstairs at three this afternoon.”
Vincent’s document-handling hand paused mid-action. After a moment’s thought, he said, “Fine. Arrange it. Remem- ber to clear the venue.”
Randy looked at the young man before him, speaking in a resonant voice. “Vincent, long time no see.”
Vincent smiled and replied, “Uncle Randy, it’s been years. Did you come to see me for something today?”
When Vincent and Rebecca got married, Randy had personally attended their grand wedding. Since then, Vincent had followed Rebecca’s lead in addressing Randy as Uncle Randy.
Randy nodded, pushing the document folder across the table while fixing him with a steady gaze.
“Vincent, I’ve crossed oceans to return for White family’s vengeance.”
“But since Susan’s your woman, and her family’s under your protection, I thought I’d give you this courtesy heads-up before acting.”
Vincent opened the documents and examined them carefully. The evils Susan’s family had committed exceeded even his darkest expectations.
Vincent grew increasingly somber as he read through the dozen-page document, his grip tightening and crumpling the
paper.
Randy’s smile faded at Vincent’s prolonged silence.
The Walker family’s business empire was formidable, and Randy had no wish to alienate Vincent.
Yet recalling how the treacherous Russell Whites had caused the deaths of Elijah, Angela, and their son-along with his niece’s suffering-fueled his outrage at Vincent’s protection of them.
Randy’s voice turned icy. “After reading this, do you doubt the Russell Whites’ guilt? Or will you keep shielding them despite knowing they destroyed my brother’s family?”
‘Vincent set down the documents, meeting Randy’s gaze for a long moment before speaking gravely. “That’s not my intention. I only realize my previous punishment of the Russell Whites was too lenient. You may not have followed domestic news, Mr. Anderson, but I’ve already dealt with them.”
Victor looked at Randy with a mix of exhaustion and resolve. “But thank you for bringing these documents all this

way. I won’t let them get away with it. Every suffering her parents, Elijah, Rebecca, and Patrick endured-I’ll return it tenfold to Russell’s family.”
Randy lifted his head, face etched with utter disbelief. He’d been tied up with syndicate affairs overseas, rushing over without delay after obtaining the files. How had Russell’s entire family been uprooted by Victor in such a short time? Last he knew, Victor and Susan had just welcomed a child, and Susan’s actions had nearly driven his niece to despair.
Randy wasn’t one to meddle. He’d come solely for Elijah’s family. Knowing Russell’s fate sufficed; the details didn’t interest him. Their conversation shifted smoothly to partnership matters.
After Randy’s departure, Victor returned to his office, gaze fixed on the folder. He understood the bond between Randy and her parents. What stunned him was that the Southern England godfather would risk assassination to de- mand justice for the White family.
Victor handed the documents to his secretary. “Get these to the police. Hire the best lawyers. Ensure Russell’s family receives the highest possible sentence.”
Vincent’s secretary took the documents and left the office.
Soon after, the office door burst open again.
Vincent’s face already held traces of anger. Seeing his secretary enter without knocking, flustered, he snapped impa- tiently. “What is it?”
The secretary’s expression was filled with barely contained excitement and disbelief.
He hurried forward, handing over his phone while pointing at a photo on the screen.
“Mr. Walker, the private investigator captured this photo of Dr. Hernandez and Miss White in England.”
Those dozen words, paired with the crystal-clear image, unleashed a tsunami of emotions within Vincent!
The fire at the White estate, Rebecca back from the dead, Frank’s sudden resignation, both appearing in England si- multaneously—the truth was undeniable!
They had conspired to deceive him!
Rebecca was alive!
