From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 242

Olivia Bennett looked at her, puzzled.

“I—I’m a little scared,” Daisy mumbled, eyes cast down, her voice both pleading and embarrassed. “Would you mind walking me out?”

Olivia and Adelina exchanged a quick glance.

In the end, they decided to walk Daisy out of the mall and helped flag her a cab.

Daisy gripped the car door, casting a glance at Olivia. Her voice was still scratchy from crying as she asked, “Are you Ethan’s girlfriend?”

Olivia wasn’t sure why Daisy was asking, but she nodded anyway.

Daisy didn’t say anything else. She looked at Adelina, biting her lip awkwardly. “Thank you.”

With that, she ducked into the cab and shut the door.

As the car pulled away, Adelina checked her watch and glanced at the diner across the street. “You know what? Let’s skip the rest of the shops. We’ve been walking around for ages, and I’m starving. Let’s grab something to eat and wait for Ethan inside?”

Olivia nodded in agreement.

They headed into the diner and ordered two plates each.

While they waited for their food, Adelina excused herself to the restroom.

Olivia checked her phone, realizing Ethan had texted her two minutes ago:

[Be there in five.]

She glanced at the door, but Ethan wasn’t there yet.

She tapped out a quick reply, a soft smile spreading across her face.

The diner had big glass windows, and Olivia was seated right by one. The winter sunlight wasn’t harsh—it spilled through the glass, bathing her in a gentle golden glow, making her look like she was wrapped in warmth.

Unbeknownst to her, Daniel Gill was sitting in a black car parked across the street, watching her with a look of longing and regret.

He was just about to get out of the car when suddenly, he saw a tall figure appear next to Olivia inside. Daniel’s hand froze on the door handle.

Inside the diner—

Olivia’s face lit up as she spotted Ethan. She scooted over to make room.

“That was quick!” she said.
