From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 368

Helen Adams nodded so fast it was like her head was on a spring.

But then she paused, looking a little guilty. She shook her head. “Actually, it’s not that I’m scared, really.”

It was just… her first time stepping into The Carter Family’s home, and with Ethan Carter’s reputation, anyone would feel a bit tense.

Olivia Bennett leaned in, a smirk on her lips. “Since when have you ever been this nervous?”

Helen stuck out her tongue. “Well, that was before I knew who he really was.”

Ever since she’d found out Ethan Carter’s true status, this was the first time she’d been face-to-face with him in such a formal way.

And who was he, after all?

Ethan Carter.

The guy who practically ran the show in Cabinda.

Honestly, the only reason she’d been so calm before was pure ignorance.

Olivia laughed. “He’s not going to eat you. Just act the same as you always do.”

Helen nodded, letting out a shaky breath. “Okay.”

Davina Ford piped up, “Where’s the little one?”

“Down for a nap,” Olivia answered. “But I’ll need your help later.”

“No trouble at all!” Helen grinned. “On the way over, we were already saying we’re going to get the cutest photos of the baby. Heck, we’ll handle all the photos from now on.”

Olivia burst out laughing. “Deal! If the photos turn out great, I’ll double your bonuses for the month.”

Helen’s eyes widened, and she let out a little giggle. “Now I’m really motivated! But, um—” she hesitated, glancing at Elaine Carter, unable to hide her excitement. “Can I ask for one more thing?”

Olivia raised an eyebrow. “What’s up?”

Helen turned to Elaine, lips twitching into a grin. “Can I get an autograph and a selfie with you? I’ve been binge-watching your latest show, and I’m obsessed.”

Olivia couldn’t help but laugh, shaking her head at Helen’s enthusiasm.
