Chapter 236 Sneak Into the House
Those guys were just out for cash–they weren’t a real threat.
“The code? I don’t know it either. My job is only to carry this case, but I know it’s super important to Harry. There’s gotta be something valuable inside. Even though I’ve been guarding him the past few days, he never let me peek.”
The older bodyguard wiped sweat from his forehead.
Seeing the older one already spilling info, the younger bodyguard didn’t want to be left out. “I- I know some of Harry’s secrets! I know some of Harry’s secrets! Stuff about hidden supplies and his connections with other groups! I’ll tell you everything if you just let me go!”
Caroline raised an eyebrow. Jackpot.
About ten minutes later, the two bodyguards limped off, helping each other along.
Caroline and Raven stayed in the snow, standing still for a while.
She was buzzing with excitement.
That young bodyguard had given her a crucial piece of info.
Harry or maybe the Lowlands were serious players. While the military was still figuring out animal mutations, those guys already had a lab full of experimental animals, and they were even testing on humans.
The goal was to trigger mutation traits in both animals and people. Then, the Lowlands used them to get benefits.
Apparently, Harry had made some progress, though it was early days.
The bodyguard said the lab’s most impressive creation was a mutant tree.
That tree had grown from over ten feet to more than 15 feet, had some intelligence, and could follow simple commands.
Caroline didn’t care about the tree being smart. What mattered was that it could help upgrade her storage space.
There were also tons of mutant plants and captured animals being studied.
Caroline made a note to check out the lab and got the address.

Harry also had a secret stash of supplies, and she got that location as well.
And there was the case she was holding.

Caroline looked at the combination lock, unfazed. She grabbed an axe and hit it a few times, but it wouldn’t budge.
She tried every tool she had, but nothing worked.
The case was made of some unusual metal she couldn’t identify. It was definitely not ordinary.
She decided to deal with it later and tossed it into her storage space.
Checking the time, more than half an hour had passed. She needed to head back to handle Erica.
Seeing that Raven had burned a lot of energy using his powers, she pulled out a bowl of dog food from her storage space.
Raven wolfed it down in ten seconds.
She stroked his neck and patted his head. “Let’s go.”
Meanwhile, Francis had already handled Isaac. Honestly, it had been way easier than expected.
He and Tyler had sneaked into Lowland Residence.
Francis thought security would be tight, but Tyler scoped the place out and came up with a flawless plan.
When they reached a blind spot, Tyler disabled the electric fence cleanly.
As soon as the power went out, Tyler slipped into the residence like it was nothing.
Francis was seriously impressed.
