Chapter 46 The Floor of Surprises
The fourth floor housed a different company that sold products online.

But this one had its own unique charm. The whole place was decorated in a rustic northern style. The walls were painted white, shaped like snow piles, and hung with dried corn cobs and red chili peppers as decorations. The floor was textured to look like a road after a snowstorm, complete with fake tire tracks.
But the décor wasn’t the most interesting part.
The funniest part were the office signs.
One door said “The Loser of the Month,” clearly meant for whoever had the worst sales.
Another read “The Star of the Month,” obviously for the top performer.
There was even an “Investor Bros Office,” which looked like the sales team that brought in sponsors and investors.
Caroline checked each room carefully. Most of them had similar setups, but the loot inside was impressive. One full of chips and spicy jerky sticks, another stacked with fruit cans, one crammed with near–expired drinks, and another piled high with dark chocolate and low–calorie snacks.
She even found a room filled with handmade items–paintings, knitted crafts, and cross–stitch embroidery. Not very useful, but she took them anyway.
Then, in one of the offices, she spotted several tanks full of fishes.
With a thought, she moved them all into her storage space.
She didn’t put the fishes into the healing spring. Someday, she planned to dig out a little pond there and raise some of the fish in with the spring water, just to see what would happen.
After all, seafood would be a rare luxury in this new world.
Just as that thought crossed her mind, she went upstairs and–what a surprise–found a seafood company! And judging from the sign, it was this month’s “loser.”
Clearly, sales hadn’t been great for this month.
Perfect. More for her.
Above the 4th floor, things got even better. These weren’t small livestream studios anymore but full–blown product warehouses.
She counted over 20 giant freezers, all packed tight with seafood.
There were squid, shrimp, sea cucumbers, abalone, even pre–cooked grilled shrimp, barbecued squid strips, spicy scallops, marinated yellow croaker, and crispy dried fish.
Every kind of seafood imaginable.
Caroline waved her hand, and all the freezers disappeared into her storage space.
She suddenly remembered she had been to this same floor in her previous life.

But that time, the power had already been out for weeks.
All the seafood had rotted.
The whole place had smelled so bad that everyone thought there were bodies upstairs..
So back then, they skipped the 4th floor and went straight to the 5th.

Caroline was lucky today. The power had only gone out that morning. The freezer still held plenty of cold air. Nothing inside had spoiled.
In the next room, she found another company–a popsicle distributor.
The sign on the wall proudly read “The Star of the Month.” She couldn’t help but smile. It made sense–summer had just ended, and ice cream had probably been selling like crazy.
The freezers were filled with top–shelf ice cream–imported and local brands, every flavor imaginable. Caroline didn’t think twice. She stored all dozen freezers straight into her storage space.
In the scorching great heat period, ice cream wasn’t just a treat. It was survival and a little piece of happiness.
At the far end of the floor stood an office that clearly belonged to the CEO.
When Caroline got there, she realized the entire level was run by the same company–just split into a few smaller divisions.
What made her laugh, though, was the sign on the door. It read “Big Bro Supreme.”
Well, that name sure didn’t need translation.
The office door had a high–security lock, far fancier than the others.
It took her a long time to break in.
More than once, she thought about giving up.
There were still many floors left to search. She doesn’t have time to waste here.
