Chapter 189- Two Days from Forever
When Sophia and I returned to the suite, the girls were still buzzing from music and wine. Lisa was already there, settled in as if she’d been present the entire time.
The moment she caught sight of us, her lips curved slyly. “And where exactly are you two coming from?”
The way she asked it, you’d think she’d been sitting there the whole time, not sneaking back in like us. Sophia and I exchanged a glance and broke into laughter.
Lisa narrowed her eyes. “What’s so funny?”
“Nothing,” I said, grinning. “Just that we actually went looking for you when we noticed you were gone.” I tilted my head. “So, where were you, Lisa?”
A flush crept into her cheeks. “I stepped out to take a call. And then… well, I ended up admiring the hotel. It’s gorgeous.”
Sophia smirked, her voice playful. “Yes, it is. My father did a thing here. But Lisa, why do I feel like you’re hiding something?”
“What? No! I told you the truth,” she blurted, her defenses snapping up.
I leaned in, my tone teasing. “Are
you
sure?”
Lisa crossed her arms. “I don’t know what you two are plotting, but I’m not indulging it.”
Sophia and I shared another knowing look, whispering and laughing just loud enough to keep her squirming. The unease on Lisa’s face was priceless, half–guilt, half–wondering how much we
knew.

Later, as the girls were dancing. Sophia called out sweetly, “Lisa?”
Lisa turned, wary. “Yes?”

Sophia dropped her voice into an imitation so spot–on, it made my stomach ache with laughter: “A word of this to anyone and I’ll cut your balls off.”
The horror that flashed across Lisa’s face was worth every second of keeping quiet.
I laughed so hard, clutching my stomach. Sophia had mimicked her voice to perfection.
Lisa groaned, grabbed a pillow, and started smacking us with it, laughter bubbling through her outrage. “You two are evil! Why didn’t you just admit you saw me? Instead, you let me torture myself, wondering if you knew.”
Sophia fell back onto the floor, laughing so hard her eyes watered. “If we told you immediately, Lisa, we’d have missed all this fun watching you squirm!”
“And Kelvin, huh?” I teased, wiping my cheeks.
Lisa groaned again. “Fine. You know I’ve been stuck at camp for months. I needed… some action. He flirted. It just happened.”
Sophia lifted a brow. “Funny, no one asked for an explanation. Sounds like guilt talking to me.”
Lisa rolled her eyes but laughed too. “I know. I’ll never hear the end of this, will I?”
“Nope,” I said, grinning wickedly.
My phone vibrated, saving her for the moment. It was Liam.
Why haven’t you come to see me? Don’t you miss me?

1 bit my hip, smiling as I typed back I was already on my way to you until I caught sight of Lisa and Kelvin together
His reply came fast. So that’s why Kelvin came back grinning like a maniac. I need to update the
boys
I showed Sophia, and within seconds she dragged Lisa close. “Congratulations. The whole house will thank you for the entertainment. Liam’s already spreading it.”
Lisa’s eyes widened. “What?! You two are the worst!” She grabbed her bag and stormed out of the suite, checks blazing.
Sophia and I collapsed against each other, laughing until our sides hurt. Then we exchanged a look. Without a word, we rose and headed straight for the men’s suite.
Their party was loud. Music thumped from hidden speakers, glasses clinked, and laughter rose above it all. Bottles of champagne and whiskey crowded the table beside scattered cards and poker chips. Car keys, heavy with luxury logos, sat tossed carelessly in a pile, evidence of bets being made. The air carried the mix of money, mischief, and too much freedom.
Jay spotted us first and rolled his eyes. “As predicted. Couldn’t even last a few hours, could you?”
“Hi to you too,” I said, greeting Noah, Owen, and the others.
Sophia wasted no time making digs at Kelvin, and the room howled with laughter at his expense.
Liam caught my eye, tilting his head toward the door. I followed him out, but just as we reached the hall, Jay’s voice boomed
“Liam, Emily, don’t forget Sophia isn’t even one yet before you start making another baby!”
The boys roared.

Liam turned, grinning. “If we start tonight, she’ll be one by the time the baby arrives.”
Jay shouted back. “Fine, but make it a boy this time!”
More laughter chased us down the hall.
Inside Liam’s room, the noise from the others faded. He went straight to a drawer, pulling out two small boxes.
“What’s this?” I asked.
“Open them,” he said.
