His Private Chef (by Amycee) novel Chapter 192

Chapter 192 The Afterparty

Shots!someone shouted, and trays appeared like magic, crystal glasses lined with vodka, tequila, and gin, catching the garden lights. Glasses clinked, throats burned, and the afterparty snapped alive in a rush of sound and color.

With the old folksgone, just like Jay had declared, the energy shifted instantly. The polished reception dissolved into something reckless, raw, electric.

Jay wasted no time. He was already on the floor, zeroed in on Henry’s associate’s daughter. I’d caught him sneaking glances all day, but now? Now he was putting on a show. He dropped into what might’ve been breakdancing, or a near medical emergency, and she bent over laughing, clutching her stomach.

Hundred bucks says he seals the night in his suite,I whispered, and Lisa nearly spit her drink

out.

Then the spotlight snapped to Mason. He lounged in a chair, vodka in hand, until Sophia crossed the floor with that wicked sway in her hips. In one seamless move, she swung a leg over his lap and settled down, grin daring him to stop her. The beat thumped, she rolled her hips in time, and the crowd caught on immediately.

Get a room already!Owen shouted, and the garden howled.

Sophia only laughed harder, leaning close, her hair brushing Mason’s cheek. His hand slid to her waist, his smirk pure sin, and then, before the chant could fade, he cupped her face and kissed her like the rest of us had disappeared. Whistles. Screams. A mix of scandal and envy. Sophia broke away just long enough to smack his chest, glowing with mischief.

Meanwhile, Lisa had her own battlefield. After turning Kelvin down for the tenth time, he shrugged and pulled another girl into his arms, spinning her with a cocky grin.

Lisa’s eyes narrowed, her annoyance flashing sharp as lightning. Liam and I exchanged a glance, both of us silently betting how long she’d last.

Not long at all.

She marched across the floor, wedged herself between them, and yanked Kelvin’s hand like it was hers by right. The crowd whooped, delighted. Kelvin’s grin only widened, smug as ever. Seconds later, they were dancing together, his mouth low at her car, whispering something that made her fight and fail to hold back a laugh. Victory written all over Kevin’s face.

The fun only escalated. Bottles tipped straight from one mouth to another, liquor passed like kisses. Sophia even stole a shot straight from Mason’s lips before chasing him across the floor with a napkin, the crowd shrieking with laughter.

I was still catching my breath when the music stopped. The crowd groaned in protest until the next beat dropped.

Cardi B.

I froze, then burst into laughing, covering my mouth with both hands. The song. The very one Liam had caught me dancing to in his kitchen months ago, when everything between us was still fire and denial.

I straightened, locked eyes with Liam, then bent at the knees, grinning wide. The crowd screamed as I started moving, shameless and bold. Phones lit up, whoops split the night.

Liam came up behind me,

his hands steady at my waist. Well, well,” he teased over the beat, his voice husky. Not shy anymore, Mrs. Black.

Please,” I shot back, breathless, laughing. You wish.

The bass deepened, my movements sharper, his grip firmer. He turned me, lifted me clean off the floor, and kissed me in front of everyone. The roar that followed drowned out even the speakers.

The night only climbed higher. Mason ended up shirtless, Sophia perched on his shoulders, the two of them chanting like it was a music festival. Jay staged a danceoff, lost horribly, and faked a dramatic faint into the grass. The crowd howled.

Fireworks split the sky, colors bleeding over the sea. Champagne sprayed high, drenching anyone reckless enough to be near. Music, laughter, shouts, it all blurred into one fever of joy.

Then Jay grabbed the mic. A beat dropped, and he launched into one of his singles. Half the crowd knew the lyrics, shouting them back, the rest just losing their minds. Liam leaned down, halflaughing. He’s not doing this for us. He’s showing off for her.
