Chapter 193

Happily Ever After

Two years later.

That’s how long it’s been since I stood in that chapel and promised my forever to Liam Black. And if you asked me today what the best decision of my life was, I’d tell you it was becoming his

wife

Most people warned me that the first years of marriage were the hardest. Ours never felt that way. If anything, it felt like we never left the honeymoon. Liam kept his word, life with him has been different, and always in the very best way.

My career bloomed even after the break I took for motherhood. Stepping back had scared me at first, but when I returned, the viewers welcomed me louder than ever. The show grew bigger, the crowd wider, and the opportunities came faster than I imagined. Liam teases me that I’m more famous than he is. I don’t argue.

But fame is nothing compared to family.

Sophia and Mason are still glued together, stronger than ever. Mason’s been plotting a proposal behind her back, and I can barely keep the secret. Watching him plan the surprise engagement of her dreams makes me ache with joy. She deserves it all.

Jay is still Jay. Flirting, dating, running wild, never letting anyone catch him for long. At this point, the whole family has bets on who, if anyone, will ever manage to tie him down.

And then there’s Lisa and Kelvin, still circling each other like it’s a game. Two years later, the pattern hasn’t changed. They deny, deny, deny, right up until jealousy sets in and sparks fly. Lisa even moved to L.A., claiming she wanted to be close to me and Sophia. We all know the truth. But we leave them to their theatrics. It’s free entertainment.

As for my little girl, our little girl, Sophia is now two, and the most spoiled toddler you’ll ever meet. Not just by us, but by every single person who loves her. Her first birthday was pure extra, thanks to her aunt Sophia’s overthetop planning. The second birthday outdid even that, Liam

bought her an actual luxury car, custombuilt to size, because according to him, every princess needs her ride. She hasn’t stopped showing it off since, and neither has he.

She’s a daddy’s girl, through and through. The traitor even said Dadabefore Mama, despite my endless efforts. Liam gloats about it to this day. He is the best father I’ve ever seen: gentle, patient, completely smitten.

And now, our princess is about to become a big sister.

I’m pregnant with our second child, a boy. Jay has been over the moon ever since the gender reveal. He keeps bribing me with my favorite meals, hoping I’ll name the baby after him. Henry’s been campaigning for names too, claiming grandfather’s rights.

This summer, we stayed home at the Black residence, all of us waiting together for the baby’s arrival. It felt right, like the whole house was holding its breath for him.

It happened over dinner. One moment, laughter filled the table; the next, a sharp pain sliced through me. “It’s time,I said, and everything exploded into motion. Henry dropped his glass, Laura rushed for the bag, Jay panicked louder than anyone, Sophia shrieked, and Liam was already at my side.

Hours later, our son came crying into the world, perfect and healthy.

When the family crowded into the room, cooing over him, Sophia asked, What’s his name?

I turned to Liam, offering him the choice. I named our daughter. But he only smiled. It’s yours.

So I looked down at the tiny bundle in my arms and whispered, Jason Henry Black.

Jay pumped his fist. “Told you bribery works. Everyone else, take notes.’

Henry’s eyes shone so brightly it made everyone else tear up too. Liam chuckled and warned the room, Next child, no more claiming names in advance.

Our mothers weren’t convinced. They exchanged a look, then chimed in together, Not until you give us a girl and name her after us.

I groaned. At least let me recover before we start talking about the next one!The whole room burst into laughter.

Later, when it was finally quiet, Liam leaned close to me. His voice was soft, the way it only ever was for me. Do you know what today is?

I shook my head, smiling faintly. No. What?
