Karma Doesn’t Sleep: The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 312

She opened Penny’s contacts. Kristen’s name was still pinned at the top, but the note had changed—from “Favorite Momma Kristen” to “Favorite Aunt Kristen.”

And right underneath, to her surprise, was Amelia.

Penny’s note for Amelia was simple—Mom.

Kristen’s eyes widened, anger bubbling up inside her.

Heart pounding with jealousy, she tapped into the chat and saw their messages. That morning, Amelia had sent Penny a “Good morning, sweetheart!” and Penny had replied with a little sun emoji.

Kristen kept scrolling and realized their real conversation had only started last night.

After reading everything, she set the phone back down, her face unreadable but her gaze cold.

It was just one day. That couldn’t possibly compare to her five years with Penny.

She had plenty of tricks up her sleeve to win Penny back.

Kristen grabbed a tie and headed downstairs. Before leaving, she fastened the tie around Clive’s collar herself, and Clive bent his head to let her.

Timmy watched silently.

He got up without a word and poured himself another glass of milk.

“Penny, Timmy, Aunt Kristen and Daddy are heading out now,” Kristen called out, smiling and waving.

Penny blew them each a kiss.

She turned and saw her brother standing by the window, frowning as he watched Dad and Aunt Kristen drive away. He took a long drink of milk, still looking troubled.

“Hey, what’s wrong?” Penny waddled over, her round little face full of concern. “Didn’t you eat enough?”

Timmy just gave her a look.

She really was a little foodie.

“Penny, Mom and Dad are getting divorced soon.”
