One of the girls from Purchasing burst in, practically bouncing. “Ms. Sadinton, you have no idea! Our phones haven’t stopped ringing all morning. Remember all those suppliers who refused to work with us? Now they’re lining up to apologize—and offering us thirty percent off!”

“Yesterday, the whole industry wanted nothing to do with us. Today, they’re all begging for a second chance! Can you believe this?”

Amelia went quiet for a second, a thought dawning on her. “They’re not doing it for me. They’re scared of Mr. Packman.”

Belle just stared. “Wait, you mean our boss, Ryan Packman?”

Amelia looked at her, frowning a little. “Didn’t you tell him what happened?”

“I didn’t say anything.” Belle turned to the Purchasing team.
