Sebastian didn't raise his hand, so Valeria thought he didn't want any.
Just as she was about to put it down, Sebastian suddenly leaned over and bit into the orange slice using only his mouth.
His lips brushed against Valeria's fingers. They were warm and cool at the same time, as well as soft and damp.
Valeria was startled. She widened her eyes as she quickly pulled her hand back.
Then, she stared at Sebastian in shock, but Sebastian looked calm as he closed his eyes slightly. He looked as if he'd found the orange quite tasty, so he reached into the fruit plate to take another one for himself after finishing the first piece.
It almost felt like Valeria had imagined that move from earlier.
But her fingers had clearly felt those damp, soft lips. The tingling sensation on her fingers told Valeria that she hadn't imagined it.
Selena hadn't seen it. She was just sitting on a small stool, and Valeria's back happened to block her view of Sebastian.
So instead, she just looked at the backpack on the table and said, "Uncle Caleb, thank you for the backpack."
Caleb was a little stunned because he had seen what had just happened. But he saw it from a different angle.
All he saw was Valeria handing Sebastian a piece of orange, and Sebastian just taking it with his mouth and eating it. From behind, it didn't look all that intimate, just a little odd.
These two seemed pretty close.
He recognized the watch on Sebastian's wrist. It was a Rolex.
Valeria came from an ordinary background, so how did she know someone this wealthy?
Naturally, Caleb liked Valeria quite a lot. Even though Valeria had a daughter, she was kind and beautiful. In any dating scene, good looks and a great figure were always in high demand.
"I'm glad you like it, Lenny." Caleb touched his nose. "I brought some cake as well. Would you like some?"
On top of that, his mother really liked Valeria as well. She played cards with Lucy and knew a lot about Valeria.
Caleb was also of marrying age, but he did have some reservations at times. After all, Valeria had been married once and even had a child.
