The next instant, the basin of unknown liquid came flying at Sebastian.
It all happened so fast that he hadn’t seen it coming, nor did he have time to dodge.
His shirt and coat were soaked, causing a strange, indescribable smell to fill the air.
Sebastian’s cool, chiseled face grew even colder. He caught the scent in the air, and a surge of fury shot through him. At the same time, a chill flashed across his gaze.
“What a powerful curse! Luckily, you met me. Otherwise, your friend would’ve been doomed!” the man exclaimed as he turned to Mark.
With that, he quickly formed a gesture with his fingers, pinched some powder, and threw it straight at Sebastian.
Sebastian moved to the side but failed to dodge it completely. The powder spread through the air too quickly.
He took a few steps toward the priest.
The priest froze and backed away, muttering frantically, “Stop him! The evil spirit inside him is about to erupt!”
Simon and Mark tried to block Sebastian, but Sebastian’s cold and imposing presence was far too much for them. He shot Simon a look, and the latter immediately stepped aside.
Mark instinctively shrank back. “Sebastian, this guy is legit. I hired him to help you.”
Sebastian gritted his teeth, suppressing his fury. “Fucking idiot!”
He lifted his foot, but before it could come down, Mark had already backed away in fear. “Sir, didn’t you say you could handle it right away?”
The priest was trembling as he edged toward the door. “I… I… It’s too strong. I’ll need to consult my superior.”
The moment he locked eyes with Sebastian’s icy gaze, he turned and fled in a flash.
Mark called after him, straining his voice. “Hey, you!”
Right then, he felt a sharp kick to the back of his calf. He let out a startled cry. “Sebastian!”
Sebastian steadied his breathing and his fingers curled into fists. He looked down at his soaked clothes and asked in a low voice, “Care to explain this?”
Those who knew him could tell from his tone that he was beyond angry.
Chapter 193

Mark shot a glance at Simon.
Simon, on the other hand, remained silent.
Sebastian gritted his teeth, repeating, “What is this?”
Mark trembled as he replied, “It’s for exorcism…”
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.” Sebastian let out a low, furious chuckle.
He turned around to look at Simon and Gavin, who was seated nearby but didn’t dare
approach, only to ask, “Have you two lost your minds too?”
Gavin had actually been the only one against this whole thing. He thought bringing in a priest was absurd, especially when the guy looked like a total scammer.
However, Mark was convinced that Sebastian had been possessed or cursed. Otherwise…
Sebastian had a thing for a married woman with a kid. It did sound absurd, but that priest looked even more unreliable. So Gavin had set an alarm for himself well in advance.
Just then, the alarm went off. “What? Harry is going into labor? I’m heading back now.”
And in a flash, he was gone.
Simon coughed lightly, thinking to himself, “Harry is a male dog. How could he be going into labor?”
“Mark was just trying to help you,” he added.
Mark mumbled, “The spiritual oil for exorcism is for driving out evil. The powder’s just as effective, too.”
In fact, they still had more stuff they hadn’t even used yet.
Sebastian barely held himself back from beating the two idiots senseless. He made his way to the lounge at the far end of the third floor.
