Chapter 127
For both the Castro family and Cain, the Godfather of Black Hawk was their lifeline. If the Godfather spoke up, the Castin family’s crisis would be immediately resolved.
Now, the person who could help them grasp this lifeline was Maria.
Standing in the shadows, Maria listened to the conversation between the two men, her lips curling into a cold smile.
In the living room were two men–one her biological father, the other the man she had wanted to marry her entire life. Gabriel was even the father of her deceased child.
These two men should have been the closest men in her life, yet here they were, plotting to offer her to another man
Maria’s hand clenched at her side as she forced herself to smile, trying not to look too miserable, and walked gracefully toward them.
She looked at Gabriel with a gentle smile. “El, you’re here.”
“Mm.” Gabriel looked up at Maria.
Today, Maria wore a pink coat over a winter dress that accentuated her slender waist. Her shy demeanor was quite
captivating.
He stood up, wrapped an arm around her waist, giving it a squeeze, and whispered in her ear, “Your body was born for
men’s pleasure.”
“El…” Maria placed her hand on his chest, letting out a coquettish protest.
“Let’s play a little longer today.” Before Maria could finish speaking, Gabriel swept her up in his arms and strode upstairs, completely ignoring Cain sitting in the living room.
In the hotel’s temporary office.
Luca, holding documents, was reporting to Marco about the situation in the western region. “Mr. Vittorio, we’ve received news from the west…”
“Has Alia eaten?” Marco interrupted, looking toward Aunt Mary who was approaching with a tray.
Aunt Mary shook her head. “Young master, the mistress only took two sips of porridge before throwing it all up.”
Marco completely lost interest in whatever Luca was saying and immediately stood up, instructing as he walked, “Prepare something else appetizing and bring it over later.”
Luca watched his retreating figure and could only sigh helplessly.
Their Mr. Vittorio had been in charge of Black Hawk for over six years, and work had always been his top priority. He had never neglected his duties for anything.
Yet now, he repeatedly ignored work matters because of Alia. W
he becoming a man who chose his wife over his career?

Chapter 127
Fortunately, over the years, he had surrounded himself with talented individuals. Even if he occasionally took time off others could handle things well.
Marco entered the room to find me sitting by the window, staring at some distant point, so quiet that I seemed like 1. might disappear at any moment.
Alla- He came up behind me and embraced me, but I gave him no response.
Marco turned my head toward him, making me look at him. “Alla, what are you thinking about?”
“Ah- I seemed to notice his presence only then, and smiled faintly. “Oh, you’re back.”
“What were you thinking about?” he asked gently.
“Nothing really. I looked at him with a tender smile.
This frustrated Marco, but he felt helpless with me.
He tried again. “Will you eat something with me?”
I shook my head. “I’m not hungry.”
For the past two days, I’d been saying I had no appetite. When forced to eat, I would immediately throw up.
“Then just keep me company while I eat, and afterward I’ll take you to meet someone.” Marco picked me up and carried me to the dining area.
“I don’t want to go out,” I said, still smiling gently at him.
But this time, Marco wasn’t willing to indulge my mood. He needed to find an outlet for me to release my emotions.
The friend Marco was taking me to see was a renowned psychologist in Monterano named Nicola Paradino.
