Alia POV
A
The night was deep and dark.
Two naked bodies intertwined passionately in the bathroom.
Their connected bodies were like a small boat, sailing and drifting with the wind on the vast sea.
After countless climaxes, my mind began to regain some clarity.
Looking into my bright eyes, Marco lowered his head and bit the sensitive bud on my chest. “Alia, we practiced our skills quite well tonight. Let’s continue tomorrow!”
I shot him an annoyed glare, wanting to kick him into the bathtub.
Marco dodged with a playful grin, then lowered his head to embrace me, kissing me fiercely.
His kisses fell like raindrops, dense and unrelenting.
My body trembled, muscles tensing, as I panted softly.
After the intense exertion, we were drenched in sweat.
Our sweat mingled together, filling the bathroom with an ambiguous atmosphere.
We soaked in the bath quietly, catching our breath, savoring the moment, and basking in the afterglow.
“Woof, woof, woof… Lola’s barking echoed.
I had been home for so long without paying any attention to her, so she had to make noise to get noticed.
I shook the gift box in my hand, teasing her on purpose: “This is something Aunt Fran bought for Mommy, not for you to eat.”
“Woo, woo… Lola whimpered sadly.
“Lola, don’t be upset, I said, patting her head as if comforting a/child. “Come over and help Mommy unwrap the gift. Let’s see what Aunt Fran got for Mommy, okay?”
The packaging of the gift box was exquisite. Layer after layer, I unwrapped it, and when I finally saw what was inside, I was utterly shocked.
Inside the beautiful gift box were condoms–different sizes, flavors, and even textured ones…
I thought Francesca had forgotten about that matter, but I never expected her to actually buy them and package them like a boutique gift. I was completely unprepared.
There was also a note inside the box: “Alia, enjoy the most primal pleasure with your man!”
‘Alia-
Marco’s deep, sexy voice suddenly sounded behind me, startling me so much that I nearly dropped the gift box.
I hurriedly hugged the box to my chest to hide it, stammering nervously: “If you have something to say, just say it.
If Marco saw that I was holding condoms, he’d definitely think of me as some kind of bad woman.
Chapter 68
I wanted to build a good life with Marco, and I didn’t want to leave such a damaging impression in his mind.
About the wedding, I need to prepare properly. Wait for me.” With that, Marco turned and went back to his study.
I hadn’t thought about having a wedding. From start to finish, it hadn’t crossed my mind. But now that Marco brought it up, I felt a small spark of anticipation.
I didn’t have much energy to think about the wedding right now, though. The most pressing issue was how to deal with this hot potato of a gift in my
hands.
1 tiptoed back to the bedroom and found what I thought was a very hidden spot to stash these things.
Just as I finished hiding them, my phone buzzed. I glanced at it–the number looked familiar. It seemed to be Gabriel’s.
I had told Gabriel more than once not to disturb my life, but he didn’t seem to listen. Today, he even had Ricardo try to abduct me.
If Marco hadn’t arrived in time, I couldn’t imagine what the consequences would have been.
After thinking for a moment, I decided to answer the call. As soon as I picked up, Gabriel’s voice came through, full of apology: ‘Alia, I need to say sorry to you! I had no idea about what Ricardo did today. He acted on his own, wanting to bring you to see me.”
“Gabriel, you don’t need to apologize to me. Just don’t disturb my life anymore, and that’s enough.” Honestly, whether it was Gabriel who instructed Ricardo or not, I didn’t care. I just didn’t want to have anything to do with him anymore.
I didn’t want to see his face, didn’t want to be reminded of the unpleasant past because of it, and I especially didn’t want Marco to misunderstand.
“Alia, even if I didn’t instruct Ricardo, I’ve always had you in my heart.” Gabriel started with his deep, affectionate words again, giving me goosebumps all
over.
I said, “Gabriel, enough. If you want to disgust someone, disgust yourself. Don’t come and disgust me.”
“Alia… Gabriel paused, then asked tentatively, “Do you know the heir of the Black Hawk family… the Godfather?”
I snorted coldly: “Godfather? I’m just a small intern at Cortez Tech. How could I possibly know the Godfather of the Blac way too much credit.”

family? You’re giving me
Gabriel pressed: “You really don’t know the Godfather?”
The last time I was detained, it was Chief Carl of Portano City who personally came to get me out. This time, it was Chief Carl again who personally ordered that Ricardo and the others be held legally accountable.
Originally, something like this would, at most, be treated as an attempted harassment case. Gabriel could have made a single phone call, and Ricardo and the others would have been released. But somehow, it escalated into a major incident labeled as a criminal abduction.
Gabriel thought long and hard but couldn’t figure out how Marco, someone with seemingly no powerful backing, could influence Chief Carl.
He had someone investigate quietly, and the police leaked some rumors pointing directly to the Godfather of the Black Hawk family.
What Gabriel couldn’t understand was why the Godfather would get involved in something between him and Alia.
I had no idea what Gabriel was trying to say and felt a bit baffled: “Gabriel, don’t talk nonsense with me. I’m telling you clearly that I don’t know any Godfather.”
As I said this, Marco pushed the door open and walked in, just in time to hear me mention the Godfather. Why was I talking about the Godfather? Had I figured something out?
Marco looked at me, his gaze filled with deep scrutiny.
Being caught talking to Gabriel by Marco made me worry he might misunderstand. I quickly hung up the phone and forced a smile at him. “It was Fran calling. She asked if I knew the Godfather.”
Chapter 68
Even I didn’t believe my own explanation. Marco stared at me for a couple more seconds and could tell I was lying.
His eyes narrowed slightly, and he said in a low voice: “Block his number. From now on, you’re not allowed to answer his calls or meet with him again.
