Chapter 69
Alia POV
I realized that my lie had just been exposed, and my cheeks flushed red. Obediently, I took out my phone and, in front of Marco, added Gabriel’s number to
the blacklist.
Marco’s words were incredibly domineering and forceful, but I didn’t dislike this side of him.
After blacklisting the number, I handed the phone to Marco to show him: “There, it’s done. I won’t see him again.”
“Hmm.” Marco stared at me, a barely noticeable glint flashing in his eyes behind his gold–rimmed glasses. “Alia, I forgot to do something earlier, and I’d like to make up for it now. Is that okay?”
“What is it? Do you need my help?” I had no idea what Marco was referring to and asked naively.
“I definitely need your help.” Marco smiled as he approached me, the corners of his lips curling up. He cupped my head with his hands.
I was a bit annoyed: “Marco, this childish game was fun once, but doing it again is just silly.”
I thought Marco was just pretending to kiss me again, but before I could finish speaking, he kissed me fiercely.
Our lips and teeth intertwined, our breaths melding together… His kiss grew more domineering and forceful, as if he wanted to devour me whole.
My limbs felt weak, and I clung tightly to the edge of his shirt.
It was as if Março wanted to steal all the oxygen from my mouth, leaving me no chance to breathe. I couldn’t think, couldn’t breathe..
Yet, the passionate, scorching kiss came to an abrupt end. I was still basking in the lingering heat of his intense kiss when Marco pushed me out of his embrace.
In front of me, he wiped his lips, still carrying traces of my scent, with his finger. “I have some things to take care of
I stood there, stunned, taking a long while to come back to my senses. “Okay, goodnight.”
st early.”
I pressed my lips together, still feeling the warmth of Marco on them. A wave of melancholy suddenly surged in my heart How long could these warm, peaceful moments with him last?
As long as Gabriel remained in Portano City, and as long as the issues with Cortez Tech weren’t resolved, my heart would never be at ease.
I was so afraid that these cozy days would be shattered, that everything would revert to how it used to be.
In a five–star hotel in Portano City, inside a luxurious suite, Gabriel was so furious that he smashed several wine glasses.
Last night, not only did I hang up on him, but I also blacklisted him. Seeing that I wasn’t leaving him even the slightest chance, he was truly enraged.
No! No! No!
Gabriel screamed internally.
Alia, I will never let that Vittorio guy take advantage. I will definitely win you back.
If you remain so stubborn, I won’t hesitate to use some underhanded methods. In any case, I won’t let that Vittorio guy have you so easily.
That Vittorio doesn’t deserve you. He’s not worthy.
“Ricardo!” Gabriel shouted loudly. Only after yelling did he remember that Ricardo had been arrested and taken to the police station, and he couldn’t even

get him out. The thought made him seethe with anger.
Another man, who had taken over Ricardo’s assistant duties, hurried in. “Young Master, what are your orders?”
“Have you made an appointment with that actress named Sarina?” Whether or not that actress was the Godfather’s woman, as long as there was even a ne in–a–million chance, Gabriel wouldn’t let it slip.
The man replacing Ricardo was named Loren, someone Gabriel’s father, Garfield, had assigned to him. Loren was far more experienced than Ricardo and not nearly as reckless.
Loren said, “Young Master, Sarina has agreed to meet us, but the meeting location is her choice. It’ll take us about half an hour to get there.”
Gabriel strode forward immediately. “Let’s go now.”
Having wasted so much time already, he was eager to meet the Godfather, to secure a partnership quickly, and to prove himself to his father.
“El…” A soft, gentle voice called out to Gabriel as he reached the hotel lobby.
Hearing the voice, Gabriel turned around, his brows furrowing almost imperceptibly. “Your health isn’t good. Why aren’t you resting at home? Who let you come here?”
“El.” The woman stepped toward him, reaching out to adjust his suit jacket. “You’ve been out for so long, and everyone at home is worried about you. So. Dad asked me to come take care of you.”
“You don’t need to come and look after me. Go rest. I still have things to handle.” Gabriel grabbed her hand, his tone still relatively gentle.
“El, I actually know the real reason you came to Portano City.” The woman gave a bitter smile, her voice, soft and melodious, coming from her cherry–like lips. Her expression was incredibly pitiable.
“You’re a woman. What do you know?” Gabriel said irritably.
Because he often saw traces of Alia in this woman, Gabriel could never bring himself to speak too harshly to her
“El, I know I’m useless. I couldn’t bring our child into this world, and now I can never…” At this point, tears we!! sliding down her cheek, making her look even more heartbreaking.
“Why are you crying? I’m not blaming you.” Gabriel’s face showed helplessness as he reached out to embrace her.
the woman’s eyes, a single tear
The woman lifted her head from Gabriel’s arms, blinking her watery eyes. Her red lips parted slightly: “El, you’re the eldest son of the Castro family. You can’t be without a child. So, no matter what methods you want to use, I’m willing to help you.”
“Maria, are you… are you serious? Even if that person is Alia…” Gabriel was both overjoyed and shocked. After the initial joy, he felt it was only natural. After all, since Maria’s miscarriage, she could no longer conceive. She couldn’t bear a child for the Castro family, so it wasn’t his fault if he sought another woman to continue the family line.
Maria nestled in his arms, rubbing against him gently. “Some things might not work as well if you do them. If I do them, the results might be different. I understand her temperament better than you, as her older sister.”
“You mean…” Gabriel hardly dared to believe that Maria was thinking the same thing he was. If she truly was, then his chances of getting Alia back would increase significantly.
“I’ll find time to meet Alia.” Maria dropped a bombshell, a move that could firmly keep Gabriel under her control.
“Maria, you’re too good to me!” Gabriel hugged Maria tightly, as if he could already see Alia waving to him.
He kissed Maria’s forehead: “Maria, as long as you can help me with this, I promise I’ll treat you well in the future.”
