Sebastian said to Nicholas, "Call Roxanne over. I want to have a proper talk with her."

Nicholas could sense that Sebastian wanted to make a change. He also hoped that things could work out between the two, so he went next door and knocked again.

Roxanne opened the door and raised a brow at him, but Nicholas found it hard to meet her eyes. After everything Sebastian had done, even trying to speak on his behalf felt like crossing a line. But for Sebastian's sake, he still forced himself to say, "Sebastian asked me to call you over. He wants to talk."

Roxanne was surprisingly direct. "Alright."

She followed Nicholas back to Sebastian's room.

Nicholas stood at the door, but Roxanne turned to him and said, "You should come in too."

He waved her off. "This is between the two of you. I won't get involved."

Roxanne folded her arms, smiling with a clear, steady gaze. "Nicholas, I'm only willing to talk to him because you're here. Otherwise, I wouldn't set one foot in his room."

Nicholas blinked. "Huh?" He wondered why he was suddenly involved in this.

She let out a short laugh. "Sebastian and I live in different worlds. We can't communicate. It'll just be a bit easier with you here. Otherwise, I won't go in."

Since she had already said so, Nicholas had no choice but to follow them inside.

Sebastian had heard what Roxanne said, and his expression darkened.

"No matter whether she leaves or not, from now on, I'll mean everything I say to you. I won't leave you behind because of her again."

Roxanne didn't know what she was feeling inside.

Sebastian knew exactly what he had done. He understood how he had neglected and dismissed her. And yet his words of "no matter whether she leaves or not" meant that if Liana chose to stay, he wouldn't force her to leave either. So, why should she still believe him?

Even so, she nodded slightly on the surface.

"Alright. Then I'll give you one more chance. Three days. In the next three days, if it comes down to choosing between me and Liana, you must choose me without hesitation. Do that and I'll forgive you. Deal?"
