Nicholas grumbled on the other end of the phone, "Cayden, even if you find her, don't tell Sebastian! Let Roxanne have a chance at a normal life."
Cayden sighed heavily, rubbing his forehead. His expression was one of complete defeat. "Nicholas, if I can't find her, I won't have a way out either. You have no idea how terrifying Sebastian is right now. He looks calm, but you should know that the calmer he is, the bigger the storm is brewing!"
Cayden had been working at AE for ten years. As Sebastian's chief legal advisor, he understood Sebastian's temper all too well.
This situation was different from the others. Sebastian... was holding back. But his patience was about to break.
Cayden and Nicholas exchanged updates regularly, so he was well aware of the ridiculous things Sebastian had done lately. Honestly, Cayden had witnessed Sebastian and Roxanne's relationship grow from the beginning.
From an outsider's perspective, he never really saw how much Sebastian cared for Roxanne. All he saw was how little he seemed to care. So, he couldn't understand it.
Roxanne had left, so be it.
Sebastian never seemed to care much anyway. It didn't make sense to go through all this trouble just to find her.
After thinking it over, Cayden only saw one possible reason—Sebastian felt humiliated. Roxanne had left him for another man, and that was a huge blow to his pride. So, he was determined to find Roxanne and... teach her a lesson. That seemed like the most plausible reason.
Cayden asked Nicholas, "You and Roxanne are close, right? Can't you get in touch with her?"
Nicholas fell silent. "What kind of relationship do you think I have with Roxanne? She dumped Sebastian, so why would she talk to me?"
He had sent Roxanne a ton of messages, but Roxanne never replied.
Even though his messages were full of insults toward Sebastian, Roxanne didn't respond to a single word. This time, she was determined. She wanted to completely cut ties with Sebastian's world.
The butler, Harlan Romero's, voice was filled with panic. Elvira turned just in time to see Sebastian stride in, his expression cold and unreadable.
Six towering bodyguards followed behind him, their presence oppressive.
Sebastian's heavy steps on the marble floor echoed through the space, and the air he gave off was sharp and frigid. That handsome face of his was twisted in a look so dark it was nearly frightening. He towered over Elvira, his tone frigid as he demanded, "Where's Roxanne?"
For a second, Elvira was too stunned to speak.
Once she realized what was happening, her expression snapped from confusion to outrage. "Don't ask me. I don't know."
Sebastian's dark eyes were pitch-black, filled with ice and a kind of desperate madness. The air around him was suffocating. "I'll give you one more chance. Are you going to tell me or not?" he questioned, his voice low and dangerous.
