Sebastian's eyes remained fixed on Elvira even as he lost consciousness. There was a sharp, piercing intensity in his gaze. The unspoken question was clear in his expression. "Where's Roxanne?"
Elvira had never seen Sebastian like this before. The air around him was usually already menacing and unpredictable, but it was now so intense it seemed to manifest in the room itself, like a tangible force.
It felt as though if she didn't reveal Roxanne's whereabouts, he would drain her of everything, like some monster from a nightmare. It was terrifying.
Seeing that Sebastian had collapsed, Nicholas felt a jolt of concern deep within him. Something was seriously wrong.
It was clear to him that Sebastian was experiencing a relapse, something he hadn't seen in over ten years. Nicholas couldn't help but wonder what had triggered Sebastian's illness.
Without wasting any time, Nicholas ordered his bodyguards to carry Sebastian away. He turned to Elvira.
"Stay away from him for now. He's lost it," he said before hurrying off. He had a lot on his plate now, with Sebastian's condition making everything more complicated.
To be honest, Sebastian's attitude toward Roxanne before this hadn't been this intense. But Roxanne's disappearance had triggered a relapse.
It seemed unbelievable that something so insignificant could cause him such a drastic reaction. But if he truly cared for Roxanne, Nicholas couldn't make sense of Sebastian's attitude toward her.
Nicholas was left speechless by Sebastian's behavior.
Sebastian was the only heir of the Hayes family, and Nicholas couldn't just let Sebastian destroy himself. But the pressure was mounting. He was going mad just thinking about it.
Once everyone left, Elvira stepped out from behind Peter and glanced at him. "Is Sebastian… sick?" she asked.
Peter paused, deep in thought. Sebastian's behavior earlier had clearly been off. However, he didn't really care about Sebastian's condition. After all, it was Sebastian's own fault this was happening.
Jimmy quickly approached and began examining Sebastian. Even in his unconscious state, Sebastian's expression was tense and his muscles were rigid. It was clear he was in the midst of an episode.
Jimmy adjusted his glasses and looked at Nicholas, his gaze cold. "What's going on? Hasn't he been stable for over ten years?"
Nicholas sighed. "Roxanne left. You know about that, right?"
Jimmy was taken aback. "This is because of Roxanne?"
Sebastian was diagnosed with severe bipolar disorder at a young age. Nicholas' first patient had been Sebastian, and it had taken five years to help him control his condition.
For the past decade, Sebastian hadn't had an episode. Now, suddenly, he was relapsing, and it seemed to be because of Roxanne.
