Sebastian clutched his chest and got up from the floor, his tall frame slightly hunched over.
Roxanne was furious, resentful, and utterly in despair. She swore she could have torn him apart on the spot.
But when Sebastian finally stood up, a trickle of bright red blood seeped from the corner of his mouth. He reached out, trying to explain, "Roxanne, I—"
But as soon as he opened his mouth, blood gushed out.
Roxanne turned deathly pale. Was it because of her kick? She had kicked him hard, but surely not hard enough to cause this? There was so much blood. Had she ruptured his internal organs?
She had wanted to jinx him, but the moment she saw what was happening, she instinctively covered her mouth. She was afraid she might actually jinx him out loud. If something really happened to Sebastian, she would be in deep trouble.
"W-What's matter with you?" she asked.
Sebastian tried to walk over to her, but after just one step, his tall frame buckled under him. He dropped to one knee, with one hand bracing against the bed while the other clutched his chest. His handsome face had gone paper-white.
Every time he opened his mouth, fresh blood spilled out.
To Roxanne, he looked like he might not make it through the next second. Terrified, she waved her hands frantically. "D-Don't move! I'll get help!"
"Rox…"
She was already scrambling off the bed on shaky legs. Then, she threw the door open and shouted toward the ground floor, "A doctor! Get a doctor here now!"
But there was no doctor in the villa—only bodyguards and Lucy.
