Lena stared at the feast in front of her with mixed emotions. The crab was buttery and rich, the shrimp was juicy, and the dumplings were bursting with flavor. Each dish was even more delicious than the last.
But as tasty as everything was, Lena couldn’t help feeling a bit irritated.
She was convinced Annika and Josefina had teamed up to embarrass her!
But it’s not like she had told anyone she was planning to get seafood herself!
And seriously, how could Josefina have arranged for all this seafood to be flown in on such short notice?
Lena’s head spun with confusion, but eventually, she decided to blame Josefina.
It was all Josefina's fault!
With renewed determination, Lena dug into the meal.
If Josefina had bought it, she was going to make sure she got her fill!
...
As dinner wrapped up, Josefina chatted with everyone for a while.
Garrett piped up, “Josie, Dorian’s got a surprise for you. Let’s go check it out.”
Dorian’s eyes sparkled with affection as he looked at Josefina. “I hope you like it.”
Curious, Josefina asked, “What is it?”
“Just come with me,” Dorian said, leading the way.
Josefina stood and followed Dorian outside.
They walked past the gazebo, skirted the ornamental pond, and stopped at a secluded corner of the estate.
There stood a quaint little cottage with a surprisingly large yard.
“This was supposed to be a greenhouse,” Dorian explained, “but I turned it into a lab. I talked to some medical experts and set it up exactly how they suggested. Sis, go take a look.”
Josefina was floored by Dorian’s thoughtfulness.
