Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 398

Josefina quipped, “I've met Jane before, and she never struck me as one for perfumes. What’s up with that today? Did she buy it herself, or was it a gift? Ryan, you need to dig into this, pronto. Could someone be out to get your sister?”

Ryan shuddered at the thought.

“Thanks a ton, Ms. Josefina. I’ll get to the bottom of this!”

That someone would dare target his sister was unthinkable. He was determined to uncover the mastermind behind this plot.

Lena, on the other hand, was visibly shaken and scared.

“Take this medication,” Josefina instructed, handing him a small bottle. “Jane needs to take one pill three times a day, and make sure she drinks plenty of water.”

“Sure thing, thanks, Ms. Josefina. How much do I owe you? I’ll transfer the payment right away,” Ryan said, overflowing with gratitude.

Josefina had not only diagnosed the problem but provided the cure, and it was only proper for him to settle the bill.

“No need for that,” she dismissed. “Jane fell ill under the Harrison family’s watch. It’s only right that we take care of the treatment.” A scandal involving a death at the Harrison residence could spell disaster for their reputation.

The Harrison elders all agreed that Josefina had handled the situation perfectly.

If word got out that Jane had died under their roof, the scandal could tank their stock prices, a nightmare scenario for any family of their standing.

Hattie quickly chimed in, “We should get Jane to the hospital for a thorough check-up, just to be on the safe side. The Harrison family will cover all expenses.”

Ryan was immensely thankful for the family’s state-of-the-art medical facilities.

“Thank you, madam, and thank you, Ms. Josefina. But as for the medical expenses, please allow me to take care of them. Ms. Josefina saved my sister’s life, and I insist on paying. Madam, I can’t thank you enough.”

Garrett interjected, “Nash, you can’t be the one to pay. The Harrison family will take care of it. Get her to the hospital quickly and remember to keep it under wraps.”

Nash nodded in understanding. “Sir, I got it. I’ll handle it.”

The bodyguards lifted Jane, and Nash followed them out.
