Dorian didn't beat around the bush. "Josie, why are you so against letting people know who you really are?"
Josefina gave a sweet smile. "Dorian, you know I juggle a lot of different roles. If I come out as the true heiress of the Harrison family, it'll attract a ton of unwanted attention. People will start digging into my other identities. It's just too much hassle and would disrupt my life."
Dorian's eyes lit up with understanding. His sister had many alter egos; keeping them hidden was the smart move.
"Josie, you've thought this through. If you don't want to reveal it, we'll keep it our little secret. Heiress or not, you're still my sister."
Josefina's smile was so genuine, it shone through the phone. She could feel Dorian's affection.
"Thanks for understanding, Dorian. I'll be at the banquet tonight. And please, don't tell your friends I'm your sister, okay?"
Dorian chuckled. "You got it, sis. Your wish is my command. If you want to keep mum, then mum it is."
"Thank you, Dorian. See you tonight."
After hanging up, Josefina got a call from the factory.
"Ms. Josefina, you need to come over here pronto. Remus claims he's here for an inspection, but he's actually causing chaos!"
"I'll call him and sort it out," Josefina assured before hanging up. She found Remus's number and dialed.
Remus answered lazily, "Ms. Josefina, I'm in the middle of an inspection. Can't just leave, can I?"
"Remus, get back to the office now, or you're fired!"
"Josefina, what gives you the right to fire me? I'm here to assist, sent by the head office. Who do you think you are? You think you're some Harrison family princess who can fire people at will?"
Josefina laughed coldly, "On my turf, you play by my rules. Don't believe me? Try me and see if I can't fire you!"
