At the crack of dawn, exactly 5:30 AM, Dorian, clad in his workout gear, made his way downstairs, ready for his morning jog. To his surprise, he saw his sister, Josefina, just finishing her run.
"Whoa, sis, you went for a run?" Dorian asked, his voice tinged with surprise.
"Yeah, it’s sort of my morning ritual," Josefina replied, wiping sweat from her brow with a towel. "A thirty-minute run followed by some stretching in my room."
Dorian's surprise quickly turned into delight. Sharing this passion for morning runs with his sister was a little coincidence that brought them closer.
Feeling a deeper connection, Dorian said, "Josie, next time give me a shout, and I'll join you for the run."
"Sure thing," Josefina responded with a smile.
"Alright then, I won’t hold you up any longer. Gotta get my run in. See you in a bit," Dorian said, watching Josefina head upstairs before setting off on his own jog. Midway, he decided to call up Reid.
"Hey, little bro, when are you planning to grace us with your presence? Josie's been back for ages, and you're still MIA. What's up? You allergic to family time now?"
Reid, still half-asleep, grimaced at Dorian's words.
"Dorian, have a peek at the clock, will ya? I was up late last night; I need my beauty sleep," grumbled Reid.
"Josie was up late too, but she was back from running by half-past five. Come on, Reid, a quick jog and you'll be buzzing with energy!"
There was an awkward silence on the line.
"Dorian, is our new sister made of steel or something? Doesn't she get tired? Up late doing what, scrolling through her phone?" Reid's voice was a mix of sarcasm and sleepiness.
That set Dorian off. His voice boomed with fury, "Reid, who said Josie's just playing around? She's got more on the ball than you, buddy – works harder too! If I hear you talk smack about her again, you'll be on the receiving end of my fist!"
Dorian was so heated he nearly hung up but managed to add, "Get yourself back here and meet with Josie. If you don't, you're the one who'll have to deal with the consequences!"
After hanging up, Dorian shook his head. Reid needed to see just how outstanding Josie was.

Breakfast was a lively affair, with Lena keeping the mood light.
