Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 465

Josefina and Oliver settled into a cozy booth at the quaint bistro, while Annika, the chef, laid out a veritable feast.

The table was heaped with dishes that seemed to sing of comfort and indulgence: honey-glazed ham, sauerkraut-stuffed pork belly, foie gras, crispy duck, salt and pepper crab, steamed seafood, savory stuffed buns, creamy porridge, and freshly squeezed juices to wash it all down.

“Ms. Josefina, we received a fresh salmon today. Would you like me to prepare some sashimi for you?” Annika inquired with a smile.

Josefina shook her head. “Annika, this is more than enough for us, no need for more.”

With Josefina’s refusal, Annika withdrew to give them space to enjoy their meal.

Oliver, ever the gentleman, began peeling shrimp and cracking crab for Josefina, placing the succulent morsels in her bowl.

“Oliver, you don’t have to do that. Help yourself, too. You must be hungry after waiting so long for dinner. Annika’s cooking is delicious; you’ll love it,” Josefina urged with a warm smile.

Pouring himself a glass of juice, Oliver couldn’t help but yearn for a glass of wine, but Josefina had asked Annika not to serve alcohol.

“A little drink is fine, but too much is trouble,” Oliver mused.

“Josie, with such a lovely atmosphere, we should have a toast,” he suggested, a twinkle in his eye.

Josefina was quick to refuse. “No way, what if you get drunk? What will happen when my dad comes over and you’re reeking of booze?”

Oliver raised an eyebrow, his face lighting up. “Josie, you’re concerned about me. I’m touched. I’ll listen to you; whatever you say goes.”

“Just eat,” Josefina replied, a hint of embarrassment in her voice as she felt his adoring gaze.

Once they had finished their meal, Lena arrived with Hattie and Garrett in tow, and Dorian, who had hurried over from his grandmother’s.

With the company gradually being handed over to him, Dorian found his days exhausting, while Garrett seemed to have more time on his hands.
