Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 466

Dorian was silent, his gaze lingering on some unspoken thought. He was swamped with the company affairs day in and day out, leaving no room for romance.

“Dad, I’m buried under with the company stuff you handed over to me. Seriously, I’ve got zero time for dating. How about this: you step back in and help out a bit more at the office, and I’ll find time for a love life.”

Garrett couldn’t help but be speechless.

The little rascal!

He had hustled his whole life and now, with the world waiting to be seen, there was no way he was getting roped back into corporate life.

“Sorry, kiddo, my plate’s full. No can do. Dorian, just bite the bullet, will you?”

Dorian had no comeback.

Oliver relished the unique vibe of the Harrison household; it was an atmosphere he had never experienced before.

Sensing Oliver’s gaze, Dorian met his eyes and offered, “Oliver, it’s getting late. You must have a pile of work waiting. Shall I walk you out?”

Oliver was silent.

Was Dorian afraid he’d whisk Josie away?

With a nonchalance that belied his inner amusement, Oliver replied, “No need to trouble yourself, Dorian. Josie can see me out.”

Dorian was quick to counter, “Josie just sat down to take a breather. Let me do it. Can’t have my sister wearing herself out.”

Caught in the middle, Josefina felt the awkward tension build.

Oliver didn’t expect Dorian’s hostility to be quite so palpable.

Dorian had made his stance clear, and Oliver wouldn’t push for Josefina to accompany him, not wanting to burden her.

Lena, observing quietly from the side, nursed a growing resentment. Everyone adored and protected Josefina. Was she really all that?

Her thoughts grew dark with envy, wishing them all harm for their affection toward Josefina.

Lena dared not speak, her head bowed, a storm of anger etched on her face.

It was Josefina who broke the silence, “I’ll need to check on grandma later. Dorian, do me a favor and walk Oliver out, okay?”
