Larry walked over and tried to coax Dodo gently. “Uncle Marcus, let’s go home. There are tons of yummy food waiting for you, and lots of fun stuff to do.”

He reached out, trying to take Dodo’s hand. However, Dodo jerked his hand away and snapped, “Don’t touch me. You’re a bad guy.”

Larry didn’t know what to say. But he also felt a bit relieved. He thought, “This is the Uncle Marcus know, Even when he’s having an episode, he’s still hot someone just anyone can get close to

Larry tried to explain, “Uncle Marcus, it’s me, Larry, I’m not a bad guy.”

“You are the bad guy!” Dodo cried, ducking behind Edith in fear. “He tricked me with promises of yummy food and fun stuff, just so he could take me home and sell me off to some bad guys. Didi, you have to protect me.”

Then he started crying as he spoke.

Larry, now branded a liar and a human trafficker, kept trying to coax him, “Uncle Marcus, I’m your nephew. Why would I be to you?”

Edith quickly stepped aside, clearing a path so the Larson family could handle this themselves.
