Once everything was packed, she washed up and started making breakfast.

She also made shredded potato stir–fry to roll in the pancakes.

Once everything t was ready, she sent her brothers a message.

Last night, they’d taken her phone, saved all their numbers, and added her on WhatsApp.

Lyle smacked Wayne on the head with his chopsticks. “You think she’s only your sister? Don’t forget about us.”

By the time Wayne helped Janus into the apartment, breakfast was already over.

Janus kicked him again. “Shameless. Why didn’t you come up and cook instead?”

Logan protested. “The others didn’t come up either! They were playing games!“”

Janus didn’t play favorites. He gave the others two kicks each.

Becky watched them bicker with a smile.

Wayne walked up to her. “Ready to go?”

Becky nodded and rolled out a big white suitcase from her room.

Lyle walked up to Abigail and looked at the baby in her arms. “Let me carry him.”

Wayne shoved him aside. “I’ll carry him.”

Logan pushed in. “Let me!”

Becky didn’t bother getting involved. She walked out of the little apartment, arms linked with Janus and Wayne.

Who knew how the three brothers settled it, but in the end, it was Lyle who carried James downstairs.
