Chapter 174 A Phone Call, A Reunion, and a Spring Gala Replay
Jose: “Becky, Happy New Year!”
“Becky. I’m back in Dracovia. I went to your place, but no one was home.”
“Are you staying at Sharon’s?”
er this.”
“Becky, message me back when you see
Becky thought for a moment and replied with a message:
Im not in Dracovia. I’m out of town and will be back in a few days.”
As soon as she sent the message, Jose called.
Becky picked up.
Jose’s voice came through the line.
Becky, where did you go?”
Becky said, “Circovia.”
“What are you doing in Circovia?”
“Visiting family.”
“Family?”
Jose frowned.
Finished
He remembered that Becky’s family had passed away. She’d lived with Xavier’s family when she was little. What family could she possibly have in Circovia?
Then it hit him–Becky’s biological father was supposedly still alive.
“You found your dad?”
Becky realized he’d misunderstood and explained, “I did find my family, but it’s a little complicated. I’m not actually Evelyn’s daughter. I found my real family.”
Jose was completely confused,
“Your real family?”
“Yeah, it’s a long story. I’ll explain when I get back.”
“Oh, okay.”
“Who are you talking to?”
Yuna’s voice came from the side.
Is that Becky Give me the phone. I want to say a few words to her.”
Yuna snatched the phone out of Jose’s hand and started chatting with Berky.
The two sounded like old friends. Yuna was all smiles during the whole conversation.
Jose stared at them, dumbfounded
When Yuna hung up, he asked, “Mom, since when did you and Becky get so close?”
Yuna replied. “I didnt understand Becky at first and had some bias against her, but later I realized she’s a good kid. Her personality suits me. It’s a shame she doesn’t like you. Otherwise, I’d have loved to make her my daughter–in–law. We’d b

most harmonious pair of mother and daughter–in–law.”
Jose was caught off guard by the jab from his own mom.
It’s a shame she doesn’t like you…..
“Mom, what if I force Becky to be your daughter–in–law?”
Yuna gave him a cold stare. “If you try that, I’ll break your legs.”
Yuna then gave him a stern warning, telling him to give up on Becky and stop bothering her.
By the end of the lecture, she had circled back to urging him to go on blind dates.
Jose was terrified and quickly fled.
Finished
After hanging up with Yuna, Becky got online and searched for the Spring Gala replay from last night.
Samson had performed as the grand finale guest, appearing near the end of the show. Becky skipped ahead to his part.
He was wearing a white suit–absolutely stunning.
Becky lay on the bed and screamed, “So handsome!”
Logan finished breakfast and returned to his villa.
He’d stayed up late gaming the night before and was feeling drowsy, ready to catch up on sleep.
Just as he was about to lie down, his phone rang. He glanced at the screen and saw “Samson” displayed.
He frowned. What was this guy calling him for?
Suspicious, he answered.
Samson’s deep, pleasant voice came through the line.
“Did you watch the show last night?”
Even though Logan found Samson a bit annoying, he had to admit–his voice was incredible, like the sound of a cello,
His singing was a pleasure to listen to.
Logan asked, “You called just to ask that?”
“That, and to check in.”
Logan pursed his lips and stayed silent.
He had, in fact, glanced at the show around midnight. Samson had just taken the stage, performing one of his own songs.
Logan had heard that song before. It wasn’t his most popular track, but it was really well done.
Of course, Logan wasn’t about to give him a compliment to his face, so instead, he said:
“Honestly, your performance was so–so. You must’ve been nervous.”
Samson laughed. “No way. But if you were there, I might’ve been”
Logan replied, “Nervous I’d outshine you?”
Samson said nothing just smiled on the other end.
1-11 PM

Logan couldn’t be bothered. “If that’s all, I’m hanging up. Don’t interrupt my sleep.
Samson said. “Happy New Year!”
Logan paused for a few seconds, but by the time he reacted, Samson had already hung up.
He scratched his head, put down the phone, and got into bed.
Finished
Becky stayed in Circovia until the sixth day of the new year. Under Julia’s reluctant gaze, she finally got ready to head back.
The Shanks family didn’t want her traveling alone, so they had Lyle accompany her.
Logan had a packed schedule and had already flown overseas for an event on the second day of the new year.
Wayne and Winston were company executives and both swamped with work.
Lyle happened to be free during this period, so the task naturally fell to him. Plus, he was skilled in self–defense. With him around, Julia and Janus could rest easy.
Before leaving. Becky gave Julia the last few rounds of her treatment and reminded her to take them on time.
Julia was already able to stand and take a few steps, though she still couldn’t walk for too long.
But the improvement was remarkable.
The Shanks family was overjoyed.
Ever since. Becky had returned, everything had started to get better.
Julia held Becky’s hand. “Lily, your dad and I are both in Circovia, and so are your brothers. You should move here too, and live close to us
