Chapter 91 Unknown
“They were here. We missed them by only a few hours,” a male voice growls in frustration. He takes a couple of sniffs of the area to see if they are alone or if someone has lingered.
“I told you that they were spotted at that restaurant in Gretna,” I female growls back. “We should have grabbed her then.” She inspects the crushed square of grass where a blanket had been laid out. She could make out where three bodies had laid
“And risk exposing us to the humans?” the first voice growls back.
“You know that we can not fail,” the female hisses, fear tinges her voice. “We have spent far too long acquiring the white wolf already.”
“The Coven will have to wait a little longer,” the male replies. “They have not allowed the white wolf to leave or be seen often. They are doing a good job of protecting her.”
“I don’t care if you have to slaughter the whole pack, capture her faster. We are running out of time,” a third voice growls. His voice is deeper, more intense than the first could ever hope to be.
“Easier said than done,” the female huffs.
“Contact Mathew, it is his old pack. Surely he knows how to get in and out undetected. If not, maybe he would like revenge against his former pack,” the second male answers simply before he seemingly
vanishes.
The other two are quiet as the third voice leaves. Once they are sure he is gone, they start to speak.
“He scares the crap out of me,” the female says as if she had been holding her breath.
“We never should have gotten involved,” the male mutters. “Kira, we should have just continued on.”
“You were sick and dying,” Kira growls. “I’m sorry that I did not want my older brother to die on
me.”
“I know, I know,” he tries to comfort.
“Danny, what are we going to do?” Kira asks, her voice broken.
“We go find this Alpha Mathew and go from there,” Danny sighs in defeat.
“What if we can’t find him?” Kira asks as she takes off in a jóg down the hill.
Danny is able to catch up to her rather quickly. “We’ll go into the next neutral town and ask around about him. Someone has to know something about him. Most Alphas don’t know how to survive as rogues. They think that they are too good to ever live like us.”

“I’m sorry,” Kira apologizes.
‘I tried, you know I tried. Danny and Theon would not let us leave alone. Goddess,‘ Kira growls out in

Theon speeds up and nudges her. The pair of wolves drop their bundles of clothes. They then start to chase after one another in a game of tag. They use the trees to hide behind and as obstacles to disrupt the other sibling’s pursuit.
Once they are tired, Theon speaks up through the mind link, ‘Come, we need to get back to the hotel for the night.‘
‘Just a little bit longer?‘ Caitria whines.
‘Come on, we have a lot to do tomorrow,‘ Danny tells his younger sister.
‘We could just sleep in the forest,‘ Caitria points out.

‘No thank you, I want a hot shower,‘ Kira growls. She had been looking forward to her first hot
shower in days.
‘Back to the hotel,‘ Theon says as he picks up his human’s clothes.
