Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 439

These two had been butting heads since childhood.

Clayton let out a cold laugh. “Feeling that confident, are you?”

Clayton and Tyrone couldn’t have been more different. Clayton’s attraction to faith, his pursuit of spiritual calm, was rooted in his own restless mind—always anxious, always worrying. He knew his faults all too well, and faith was his way of forcing himself to slow down.

Tyrone, on the other hand, was a storm in disguise. Beneath his calm exterior simmered a wild streak, as if the chaos of the world couldn’t touch him. He seemed to keep everything under control, sometimes so much so that Clayton wondered if Tyrone’s self-assurance bordered on arrogance.

Still, Alicia was proving to be a pleasant surprise.

At least, this future “scion” of his family wasn’t the hopeless case everyone feared.

But Easton? Could he really outmaneuver cunning foxes like Shaw and Natalia?

“Let’s wait and see,” Tyrone suggested, encouraging Clayton to keep watching and reserve judgment.

Back when Maddox had passed and Easton had stepped up to steer the Lynch Corporation, he’d already earned Tyrone’s respect. The kid had real promise—as long as he stayed on the right path. The danger was, one misstep could send him spiraling, and there might be no turning back.

Airport.

Alicia had finished tying up loose ends at home and was flying out to Harboridge City with Winnie.

Winnie planned to spend some time with her parents there, while Alicia wanted to pay her respects at the graves of Tyrone and Maddox—and secretly, to visit her own birth parents.

Tyrone’s “grave” was in Harboridge City, right next to Maddox’s. The cemetery was a beautiful, peaceful place that Maddox and Reginald had chosen together years ago. No one could have predicted that Reginald would be the one left behind, burying his son, daughter-in-law, and wife.

“Alicia!” The moment Alicia and Winnie stepped into the bustling arrivals hall, someone called her name from across the crowd.

Stunned from the force of being slammed down, Mira glared up at Alicia through a haze of fury. “Alicia!”

“Idiot,” Alicia said, looking down at her with icy disdain. “Your parents must have given all the brains to your brother.”

Compared to Vincent, Mira was in a league of her own—at the very bottom.

“Used as a pawn and you don’t even see it. How long do you plan on being this naive, Mira? Whoever put you up to this knew I’d have protection, knew there are cameras everywhere in this place. They set you up to take the fall—do you want to spend the rest of your life locked up in a psych ward or prison?” Alicia crouched down, voice low and deliberate. “Whatever bad blood there was between us, it should’ve ended when you went to jail, right?”

Mira hesitated, Alicia’s words sinking in. She began to realize—she’d just gotten out of prison, so why was she risking everything in a crowded public place, throwing a tantrum for all to see? She could be locked away for good if she wasn’t careful.

Her bravado evaporated. Swallowing hard, Mira’s anger gave way to fear.

Of course—Mina. Mina had been whispering in her ear for days, egging her on, distracting the nurse long enough for her to slip away…
