Rich Radiant and Over Him (Alicia and Vincent) novel Chapter 496

News of Reginald’s passing swept across Harboridge City, making headlines and stirring up quite the storm among the city’s elite.

The White family was a powerhouse—not just in Harboridge, but throughout the entire business world. Years ago, Reginald had married into the family with nothing, yet somehow clawed his way to the very top. His cunning and ruthlessness were legendary.

Back when the city’s four great families were battered by financial crises and brutal infighting, every one of them took a hit. The Lynches were even teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. But despite losing his only son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter in one tragic stroke, Reginald still managed to keep the White Corporation afloat. That alone spoke volumes about his shrewdness.

But he didn’t stop there. Reginald singlehandedly pulled the Lynch Corporation back from the brink, rescuing them when everyone else had given up hope.

White Manor.

“We have to make sure the funeral arrangements are flawless. The wake should last seven days, just like they do back in Reginald’s hometown, with a reception for guests each night. Clayton, you and Coco will need to be present for every ceremony—it’ll be exhausting, but it’s tradition.” Mr. Brown stood in the parlor, giving instructions to Alicia and Clayton about the memorial.

He paused, voice lowering. “And… after Reginald’s death, Brandon and Jade received nothing. No inheritance, no shares. You can bet they won’t take that lying down. They’ll be here to cause trouble, trying to stir up a scandal for the press. Be ready for them—don’t give them any ammunition.” With that, Mr. Brown hurried off to oversee the rest of the preparations.

Alicia understood what he meant. If she kept Brandon and Jade from paying their respects, they’d play the victims for the cameras, claiming she was barring them from honoring their own grandfather.

“Miss Alicia, Brandon and Jade are back,” the butler reported, looking apologetic. “They’re making a scene at the gate. We can’t just throw them out, and even the police say it’s a family matter…”

“You’ve done enough. Go look after the guests—I’ll handle this.” Alicia nodded and, flanked by her bodyguards, walked toward the manor’s entrance.
