Shattered Rose Be Held On Tight
Chapter 195 Uncle Waylon and Aunt Fiona

Nevertheless, no one here was dumb enough to make trouble with so many eyes watching.
Most people’s attention drifted to Waylon and Fiona, who were making their first appearance in the Romero Manor in years today.
Some older Romeros might still recognize Waylon, but to the younger generation, the couple was a mystery. They’d been out of the picture for so long that nobody really remembered what they looked like.
Seeing them suddenly show up, people couldn’t help but stare.
Logan asked curiously, “Mom, are those Uncle Waylon and Aunt Fiona? So they’re not dead after all.”
For years, the Romeros had acted like Waylon didn’t exist, so everyone had just assumed he was gone for good.
He glanced again at the tall, good–looking man with the gold–rimmed glasses. “Is that their son?”
Something didn’t add up. He frowned. “Wait, he looks about the same age as Simon. So where does he fit in the Romero family’s third generation, age–wise?”
The third generation’s age order went like this: the first kid was Simon, Leon’s son, born after Leon’s passing.
The second was Kenneth’s boy, Blaine. His younger sister, Khloe, was four years younger than he was.
The fourth in line was Sterling, the son of Quinton and his late wife, Isabella.
In terms of age, Frederick should have been second. He was only two months younger than Simon, but after Waylon disappeared with Fiona, the Romeros lost contact with them for years.
So when Frederick was born, he never made it onto the family tree.
Even so, the butler and servants of Romero Manor still addressed him as Mr. Frederick.
Hailey felt nothing but annoyance looking at this so–called “nephew.” She glared at her son. “Enough, shut up. Don’t ask about things that aren’t your business.”
She honestly didn’t want Waylon, Fiona, or Frederick to come back.
With them back, there’d be less inheritance for everyone else.

And then there was Frederick’s “special” status.
Donovan had genuinely cared for Fiona at one point–even if he later wanted her dead. But since Waylon had raised Frederick for so many years, Donovan probably felt a little guilty about it. She couldn’t be sure he wouldn’t give them an extra share of the inheritance out of guilt.
It was a tangled mess no one could really sort out.
The siblings all had their complaints about this mess, but none of them could say anything, much less let the truth slip out. If word got out, it would be the Romeros‘ reputation on the line, and outsiders would gossip even more.
Thinking of that, Hailey was feeling increasingly irritated.
Logan was ready to snap back, but then he saw Claudia watching him and immediately shut his mouth.
He hadn’t forgotten how badly she’d embarrassed him at the last party.
The tea that splashed into his eyes had stung for days.
He thought to himself, So what if I looked at her a couple of extra times. Who does she think she is?
He couldn’t wait to see what would happen to her once Sterling got tired of her and tossed her aside.
No matter how many people said Claudia would end up marrying into the Romeros, Logan— who’d grown up with his parents‘ twisted way of thinking–still figured a pretty girl with no background like her was only fit to be a mistress.
But…
Staring at Claudia standing beside Sterling, he couldn’t help but felt a twinge of jealousy.
That woman really is stunning, with an incredible figure. Even with everyone else in black and so many beautiful women around, she still stood out the most.
Standing together with Sterling, their looks made almost everyone else in the room feel inferior by comparison.
