Chapter 276 The Lancasters‘ Invitation
It was an invitation from the Lancasters‘–Lottic’s birthday party.
Heh, they really don’t know when to stop.

Claudia saw the invitation in his hand. Leaning on his chest, she tapped the card with her finger. “No need to stay connected with people who cut you off. But giving a gift … that’s still okay.”
A mischievous sparkle appeared in her eyes.
People were saying Lydia had been acting super nice lately, trying to fix things with the Lancasters after all the trouble. She even used the excuse that she couldn’t dance or had no shares left, so she needed a job to support herself, and somehow got into the Lancasters‘
company.
Relationships always need to be flexible. They need a little give and take, right?
No way was Claudia going to let Lydia get off so easily.
And the Lancasters–how could they celebrate a birthday like nothing happened?
Some secrets really needed to be revealed.
Sterling nodded, looking annoyed as he tossed the invitation aside.
“Daron!” he called.
Daron came over, totally used to cleaning up after them.
Watching him boss the dog again, Claudia shot Sterling a look, then hugged Daron’s big head and kissed him. “Good boy, Daron. I’ll get you a big bone tonight.”
She looked at Sterling. “Make your grumpy owner cook it for you.”
Sterling didn’t care about cooking bones, but he definitely didn’t like her kissing the dog.
He hugged her from behind, pressed his face into her neck, and mumbled, “Babe, can we talk about you not kissing him anymore?”

Claudia laughed, pinching his strong arm around her waist. “Sterling, why are you so jealous?”
Sterling kissed her soft lips and said in a teasing voice, “You can get jealous too. I love it when you’re possessive.”
Hearing her say he was hers and only hers? That was the best feeling ever.
Seeing through him, Claudia snorted, “I’m not giving you a reward.”
Sterling chuckled softly. “Then I’ll just reward myself.”
He gently pushed her onto the carpet and leaned over her.
Claudia tried to dodge, but his playful kisses and tickles made her laugh nonstop.
She bit his lip. “Stop, we haven’t finished our Lego yet.”
Sterling didn’t care about the Lego. “Forget that, play with me instead.”
“Nope, you’re not as fun.”
He was all stiff and serious, and way more tiring.
Sterling, who always looked so cold and serious in public, argued, “I am fun. You can play with me however you want, babe.”
Seeing a hint of temptation in her eyes, Sterling leaned in and whispered with a quiet laugh, “I promise this time I’ll behave and won’t fight back.”
Claudia looked at him suspiciously.
She’d fallen for his tricks more than once.
To show he was serious, Sterling let her go, rolled over, and stretched out on the carpet like a starfish–completely harmless, ready for her to do whatever she wanted.
Claudia thought to herself. Oh no, I really can’t resist this.
What a liar!
