Quinton’s pupils shrank sharply as he stumbled back in panic, tripping over himself before falling hard to the ground with a loud thud as his wheelchair tipped over.
When he looked up, he met Claudia’s blazing eyes–bright and fierce like an angry kitten guarding her food.
“What the hell are you doing?” he shouted, both shocked and furious.
Claudia let out a cold laugh and flicked the whip in her hand. “Can’t you tell? I’m hitting you.”
“I’m his father!” Quinton roared, completely losing his composure. Never in his life had he seen a daughter–in–law dare raise a whip to her elder.
“Being a father means raising and protecting your child. Only those worthy of respect deserve to be called elders. You? You’re nothing. You think you can play the fatherly role in front of Sterling? What, you think he’s still that five–year–old boy who got bullied with no one to stand up for him?”
“Sterling! Do something about her!”
Quinton trembled with rage, voice shaking as he called out his son’s name.
“Yelling won’t help,” Claudia sneered. “You and I share no blood, and even if we did this beating is still what you deserve.”
Sterling, who had been quietly watching, finally spoke with a faint smile, spreading his hands in mock helplessness. “You heard her. I don’t make the rules in this house.”
Quinton nearly coughed up blood from anger.
Coming here to talk things out was clearly the stupidest decision of his life.
Who could have guessed Claudia would go completely off–script like this?
She was outrageous–absolutely untamed!
He rolled and scrambled on the floor, trying to dodge her whip, looking as miserable as the time Winnie had slapped him with a thorned rose branch in the dark during his father’s birthday banquet.
“Stop! Stop! If you don’t want to help Kamila, then don’t! I’ll leave, okay?”

Chapter 349 1 Don’t Want Him in Our House
Quinton finally shouted in terror, realizing he was completely at her mercy.
How much bad karma had the Romeros accumulated to end up with a woman like Claudia in their lives?
But instead of calming down, Claudia’s eyes burned even redder. “Anyone can beg for Kamila,” she snapped, “but you can’t!”
Her voice cracked with anger as she spoke for Sterling’s sake. “When Sterling and his mother were humiliated and bullied in that old mansion, where were you? You couldn’t even protect your own wife and son! And now you’re pretending to be a hero–begging mercy for the niece of the woman who ruined them? Quinton, do you even hear yourself? How do you sleep at night?”
The memory of those unbearable photos flashed in her mind, and her fury surged again as she lashed the whip once more. “How could you treat him like that?!”
He had never done a single good thing for Sterling, yet now he expected a few words of regret to earn him the right to be called “father“?
What gave him that right?
At the mention of Isabella, Quinton froze completely.
His eyes went vacant, and the strength drained from his body as he slumped in defeat, no longer resisting.
Sterling was the one who stopped Claudia, not for Quinton’s sake, but because it was not worth letting this man upset her.
He pulled her into his arms and gently kissed her tear–reddened eyes. “Baby, don’t be angry. He can’t hurt me anymore. Let me kick him out, okay?
“Good girl, no more tears.” He rubbed her back softly, calming her down.
