Chapter 380 Something’s Off Next Dony
Chapter 380 Something’s Off Next Door
Thinking of the now useless Quinton and Winnie, once arrogant and spoiled, now a hollow shell because of the Lloyds: Donovan let out a long sigh.
Sterling, as if reading his thoughts, gave a faint, easy sinile. “Even if we get married, Claudia and I won’t necessarily be part of the Romeros.”
Donovan’s brow shot up. “You-”
But before he could finish, someone came rushing in. “Something’s happened!”
Donovan’s heart skipped a beat. A sharp, sudden sense of dread took hold.
Sterling stood up straight. His handsome face seemed cast in shadow, his eyes going dark like a storm cloud settling in.
His voice was low and cool, distant and sharp. “Grandpa, predation is in the Romeros‘ blood. Wolves don’t share thrones. You can’t throw them in the same den and expect peace.”
With that, Sterling turned on his heel and followed the messenger out, leaving the room heavy with tension.
Word had it—the heir to the Romero empire’s beloved had gotten tangled up with the mysterious fifth–born son.
The engagement party, full of pomp and celebration just moments ago, suddenly turned chaotic under the weight of that one bombshell. Guests–half horrified, half gleefully nosy- rushed toward the lounge.
Many snuck glances at Sterling, curious to see the reaction of the man who was supposedly being cheated on. But his face? Unreadable. Not a flicker of emotion.
When they reached the door, no one dared to be the first to open it. Some even looked like they were about to bolt.
This was Sterling they were talking about. You didn’t just “watch the drama” when he was involved. God knows what might happen after.
He loved Claudia so deeply she might be safe, but they? They could easily be collateral damage.

Chapter 380 Something’s Off Next Door
As the crowd froze at the door, too scared to move, Sterling let out a quiet, amused scoff, then pushed the door open himself.
“Hi”
Inside, Claudia sat beside Fiona, smiling sweetly as she looked up at the room full of eavesdroppers.
Sterling smiled and held out his hand. Claudia bounced into his arms like a little rabbit.
Behind her, the slim, delicate–looking Fiona sat calmly, exchanging a quiet glance with Yvonne, who stood expressionless in the doorway.
Sterling brushed a loose strand of hair from Claudia’s face. “You okay?”
Claudia nodded. “Perfectly fine. I was just chatting with Fiona.”
Her eyes curved upward, sly and playful like a mischievous cat. She tilted her head and glanced toward the doorway. “But what’s with the whole search party out there?”
Yvonne offered a polite smile. “Just a misunderstanding from the staff. We were worried something had happened to you.”
Claudia smiled and casually pointed across the hall. “I’m fine, but you might actually want to check that room.”
All eyes turned toward the tightly closed door across the corridor.
Yvonne’s smile faded. “As long as you’re safe, that’s all that matters. Someone, escort the guests back. I’ll handle this.”
“Actually…” Claudia cut in, her tone sweet but laced with amusement. “Since everyone’s already here, why not let them enjoy the show?”
Yvonne, usually so warm and gracious, pressed her lips together. Her expression turned to stone as she stared Claudia down in silence.
“Open it.”
