Before the wedding, he had her sign an asset transfer agreement.

“I don’t know how long love lasts. Even if I’m confident that ours will be forever, I don’t want to gamble on human nature–not even my own. Like I said before, interests are the most reliable bond. So I’m entrusting you with everything I have. If I let you down one day, you can just take it all and walk away, leaving me with nothing. “No.” She answered him just as seriously. “Once I make a move, I don’t take it back. I’m the type who likes to see things through.”

Sterling gave a soft laugh. “Looks like we’re both pretty confident in ourselves.”

For this marriage to work, it had to be Claudia and Sterling–no one else could come between them.

Claudia signed the agreement.

Clint watched as the wedding staff were being run ragged by Sterling’s perfectionism. He couldn’t help but feel for them.
