Chapter 75 He’s So Lucky
Lydia dragged Zane away, with teary Lottie tagging along, to get his face treated. With that huge slap mark, there was no way he could show himself tonight.
That slap wiped out any illusions the Lancaster family still held.
Claudia hadn’t come to make peace. She came to settle scores.
Wilson’s face darkened. “Okay, you’ve slapped him and let off steam. Can we just go in now?”
Claudia was even colder. She didn’t move an inch. “Where’s the bracelet?”
“You’ll get it from your mom after the party.”
“Nope. I want it now. I don’t trust you.”
Wilson flared, furious. “We don’t trust you either!”
She’d just stormed in and slapped Zane. Coming in like that, there was no way Wilson believed she’d just play along.
Claudia didn’t push further. “Fine. Then give it to Hubert first. I want it handed to me in front of everyone at the party as my birthday gift.”
Wilson snorted. “Fine.”
With that settled, the family plastered on fake smiles and walked into the ballroom.
At the entrance, everyone’s eyes went wide when they saw the stunning woman following Wilson and Clarence.
“Hey, isn’t that the youngest Lancaster daughter? She’s gorgeous! Why haven’t I seen her before?” someone whispered.
“Of course. The family always shows off the oldest. This one never even had a birthday party. No wonder you don’t know her.”
“They kept someone this pretty hidden?”
“You just don’t get it … ”
As they walked closer, whispers spread through the crowd.
Most of the men and some women couldn’t help staring at her breathtaking face.

Finished
A rich scion who knew the Lancasters clicked his tongue. “Though Claudia has a bad temper, her face is something else. What do you guys think? Should I try asking her out?”
His friend scoffed. “Forget it. Didn’t your family tell you? Tonight, the Lancasters and Fentons are announcing an engagement.”
“No wonder Jasper is acting like he owns the place, greeting everyone at the door.”
“Jasper is so lucky,” someone said jealously.
Handsome and well–off, Jasper had been the benchmark for other scions since childhood. Now he was about to get a stunning fiancée.
Who cared that Claudia had a wild side? In the end, it didn’t make any difference to the relationship.
With a face like that, everyone would put up with it.
“What can you do? He’s 20 years ahead in the love game.”
They’d been childhood sweethearts since they were three. No one else stood a chance.
Everyone sighed. In a corner, Quade, whose blue hair had been dyed back to black, quietly downed his drink.
Childhood sweethearts, huh?
He knew it would hurt even more if it fell apart. He couldn’t wait to see their faces when it did.
Since the proposal failed back then, none of this should even be happening.
Quade set his glass down and slipped out, ignoring the chatter.
Meanwhile, the center of attention, Jasper, was staring at Claudia with excitement. He hadn’t expected her to show up, much less make such a dazzling entrance. His eyes sparkled with hope.
