Chapter 93 Take Them Downstairs
The people here are her siblings. How could she?
Besides Lottie, Zane thought the same thing.
He only felt this night had been cursed from the start.

At the very beginning, Lydia had slapped him across the face, and he had no choice but to sit in the lounge with ice pressed against the swelling.
Then, for some reason, as he sat on the couch, his head grew heavier and heavier.
Finally, he forced himself to the back room and lay down on the bed to sleep.
Half–conscious, he thought he heard Jasper and Lydia come in, say a few words, then Jasper left in a hurry.
After that came the screams outside. He snapped awake, rushed out, and saw Quade pinning Lydia on the couch with his hands all over her.
He tried to pull him away, but Quade pressed in on him and harassed him instead.
In their struggle, the two of them knocked open the window–and just his rotten luck, it faced the back garden, where a crowd of people clearly saw the scene inside.

Thinking of this, he burst out. “How dare Claudia set me and Lydia up like this? Mom, you absolutely cannot give her the bracelet tonight!”
Lottie didn’t immediately agree, but from her expression, she was wavering.
At the very least, Claudia should apologize before being given anything.
Seeing that not only were they refusing to move, but also slandering their future lady boss, Clint gave a cold laugh. Impatience flickered in his eyes as he knocked on the open door once more. “Do it.”
He had already been polite enough. If these people refused to cooperate, then being a little forceful was only natural.
Several burly bodyguards immediately grabbed the three of them without the slightest courtesy and began dragging them out.
Zane was a grown man, but he couldn’t put up the slightest resistance. Their grip was like iron walls clamping him down.

For the first time, panic showed on Lottie’s face. These people had no manners at all. They were rough and reckless.
“Let go! We’ll go down by ourselves!”
Her eyes darted to Lydia, who was still in tears. Since she had adjusted her clothes hastily carlier, she wasn’t exposed. But the outfit was hardly fit for receiving guests.
“It’s just a birthday party. At least let Lydia change into something proper. I’m sure Claudia won’t mind.”
But Clint, with the same dangerous smile and icy eyes, said, “Mrs. Lancaster, no matter where you are, it’s never right to keep the birthday star waiting.”
He glanced at the bodyguards and ordered, “Take them downstairs.”
With that, he turned first and left.
In the back garden below, every passing minute felt like torture for Wilson and Clarence.
But Claudia, who had brought this nightmare upon them, felt nothing at all.
With Sterling tending to her, she nibbled fruit and dainty cakes, looking completely at ease.
She was even sitting back in her chair with her legs crossed.
Many people tried to approach Sterling, eager to strike up a conversation and leave a good impression.
The lively buzz around the two stood in stark contrast to the cold, quiet atmosphere surrounding Wilson and Clarence.
The host and guest roles seemed completely reversed.
Jasper made several attempts to get close to Claudia, but his parents blocked him each time.
It was fine for the Fentons not to cooperate with the Romeros, but they could never afford to offend Sterling.
